I've been popping around a few discords in the past few months to spice up some of the pet decks I enjoy, along with gaining insight for a few of the off-meta/rogue decks I enjoy. While some of them have been welcoming and great, it feels like the majority are just off-puttingly negative and critical to the point of cruelty.Whenever there's any dissent on a deck someone posts, be it meta build or casual interpretation, people seem to attack the deck/deckbuilder for making different decisions. Even if it's justified by the deckbuilder with their evidence for why and with logic, or "as just a personal preference," it's still dogpiled onto as a bad/suboptimal/horrible/etc. list, along with some namecalling.Maybe I come from other card games like Pokemon or MTG where the communities I'm a part of tend to be much nicer with your deck and that's fine, but even when a deck is marked as a casual/for-fun build, people still just go "if it ain't meta, it's trash."
