Its amazing how Xbox is going to shit themselves to death. its a great example how greed for hypothetical profit coming at the cost of actual predictable profit is ruining everyone and everything in gaming. They COULD have basically sold a prefab X-Cube PC if they were talking about opening it up, but no they still somehow want to cling to their platform. This is LITERALLY the mistake that Steam, with the Steam Deck showed them how to AVOID making. Some were worried that the Deck's Big Picture would be locked down and that you needed to go to Desktop Mode to do anything properly etc.. but they didn't. You can activate and add non-Steam games to be played during the Big Picture UI, add your other shit from other store, pirate etc.. without any issues because Valve had the smarts to make it an actual PC. MS with all their money can't seem to figure it out. They need to take the time to lock some shit down in the hopes that instead of Windows you'll boot and buy in Game Mode or whatever. Fuck.
