This is the extent of the hate campaign on this game. There is a genuine concern that this hate campaign is actively messing with the game. There is a genuine concern that people will stop playing because of this campaign. And that it could lead to a game that WE ENJOY being shut down.It used to be that when someone didn’t like a game they just didn’t play it and move on. And when pushed back upon or met with even the slightest amount of criticism the modern devs participate in clapback culture and attack the customers who purchased the product. Especially if the buyer is unsatisfied with the game not on a political level but on a technical level. Because fighting political opponents justifies their work. But when called out for shoddy workmanship it triggers them existentially and threatens their employment. It is valid to attack them. It is more fun to destroy such egotistical pricks then to ever engage them honestly because they are bad faith actors. I am currently in a multi year twitter war with a developer who makes modern games that I despise. No matter how many times he blocks me. I will make new accounts to shit on him. Why? Because its fun. Because after a long hard day of work and of not having any fun games to play because of people like him. I get so much entertainment by breaking him emotionally.
