Never forget...they mischaracterized both Miguel and Ben as vapid or evil in order to make them look bad but then put all this effort into making them the coolest looking spider-people in the whole movie (I hate Miguel's new design compared to the OG, but he is more interesting visually than a lot of the others). They put all those costs onto the stores themselves and then lost all that money because nothing was selling and stores had to close and Marvel got into massive debt for other reasons like acquiring trading card companies and other ones that weren't worth shit. They also focused only on collectors and the direct market so their newsstand partners didn't stick around and so they had another source of income gone but they also could return the books while comic stores didn't so some of their books from Marvel were unsold and Marvel had to keep biting different bullets. Events like Death of Superman led to regular people figuring out this wasn't sustainable and led to them leaving which caused the bubble to burst. But it wasn't the sole cause but it surely helped in accelerating it. The Clonde Saga had a part but it still holds a place in Spider-Man as having kino moments and potential.

Who would be the villains?We all know we'd want physics based swinging, air combat, wall combat, and playable Venom with his own swinging and moveset. But what other gameplay ideas do you have? I think maybe an idea where there are stations around the city that replenish your web fluid amount/cartridges could be one idea either for swinging or just for certain swinging maneuvers/combat moves. Stations like your apartment, lizard's abode in the sewer with his family, a lab, or hidden backpacks. Venom would be unlimited web fluid but you'd have to occasionally have to get it off by either telling it to or fight it off. Finally I think the game starting out in the Bar with No Name as you fight characters like 8 ball and White Rabbit as you learn through a tutorial would be cool.
