Presentation is alright, the added battle mechanics are a welcome addition; the QOL phone calendar is essential; no weapon switch is absolute ass. The pacing is marginally better, as it's still Persona 3. The remake is alright, minus The Answer(which is awful) being 30 fucking dollars extra.

Theurgies make the game to easy is a gaslight by mentally ill people who basically don’t remember FES has even more broken mechanics, or they simply don’t want to admit it.For example, fusion spells are basically theurgies that cost SP, keep in mind this is the game that recovers your SP everytime you go to the first floor for free, it also has spirit drain and invigorate.Then theres the argument that the tiredness mechanic makes the game more difficult, even though you can abuse full moons to make sure party members never get tired when going into tartarus.Moreover this is also the game where every party member has a wide variety of elemental weapons to cover elemental weaknesses with their regular attack, it also hits harder than a dyne spell even the weakest elemental weapon.Then theres the mechanic where a knock down can be guaranteed by hitting an enemy with the freeze/shock status effect that can also be guaranteed by using tier 4 magic. Since a downed enemy wastes a turn getting up that means you can deny enemy turns, this was actually fixed in portable 3rd in order to make that version more definitive than FES mess of broken mechanics, it also doesn’t exist in persona 4.Simply put reload is actually significantly more difficult and resource management heavy than FES, even without the tiredness mechanic.This is why you never ever listen to someone that complains about the most mundane detail in graphics or animations (the animations are better in reload by the way) or complain about some mundane detail changed in the writing (like the party not knowing right away that aigis could die before fighting with her in the answer).
