I enjoyed the gameplay and RP more in 2 though, I spent a lot more time crafting, brewing potions, hunting, doing menial shit, because the mechanics felt better. It performs a lot better too.

>>735009161They're both good but I prefer the first one. Having the entire game in one map makes the game flow a lot better, and being able to work yourself up from being a peasant just feels great. I prefer the low stakes of the first one to the more blockbuster approach of the second. A lot of the "epic" moments in the sequel did not land for me. And the first KCD just feels a lot more special and personal + it has the better soundtrack. KCD 2 is still a good game and mechanically superior. But the overall story is weaker imo, the map design of kuttenberg region is a bit lackluster (not enough activities outside the city, no hunting and not a lot of significant quests outside the city). The trosky region is the better part of the game. The nature in these games is really well done and its a shame you dont get to roam around more in kuttenberg region.
