Also the red cleric by the cat statue can only be found on day 1 but talking to her isn't important. Also doing the teashop on day 1 has benefits. The goblin in the tavern (called Smart or something) disappeared for me after day 2, so you don't have to do it on day 1 but there is a time limit. Also getting your book fixed as soon as possible is nice because it takes waiting time.
