Denuvo has fallen.

Denubros we got too cocky

What games with Denuvo in 2025 were worth playing?

Piracy is theft. The penalty for theft used to be death. I think we should bring that back.

Word on the street is that it's not just a basic bitch crack of the current branch of denuvo, but a complete cuck of the entire software.
>>
>>735013371
No it had Denuvo, they only put in Enigma after they dropped Denuvo

Ye, still kinda janky but it's looking good for the future.
Of course, it would be preferable if uprooting the entire thing would be possible instead of workarounds but that's good enough.

This is honestly a massive win for literally everyone. Pirates, buyfags, devs... only the publishers are getting fucked.
>>
>>735014026
How is it a win for devs?
>>
>>735014148
The vast majority of people involved with AAA development are barely seeing any money from game sales, they get paid for their work. No denuvo means the game has a bigger reach and runs better and is thus likely to be received better, which allows the devs to negotiate better terms for their next games. Also there have been several studies that show that things that can be pirated actually sell better.

"Piracy" is free speech, the punishment for undesired free speech used to be being burned at the stake.
>>
I wouldn't pirate at all, if games weren't so fucking expensive. It should be like this:

AAA: $20
AA: $10
Indie and games older than 5 years: $5

I'm 1000% confident that this would increase profits across the board.
>>
>>735015516
>I'm 1000% confident that this would increase profits across the board.
It is basic economic theory, there is a sweet spot where your product is priced low enough to attract enough buyers but high enough to still maximize profit. This is especially true with products that do not have large overhead cost (no physical discs being produced anymore and direct download from servers). The hubris of modern developers will win out over logic, though. They will still price their software license close to triple digits then get pissy and incorporate malware into their games when nobody wants to pay it.

I don't care how corpos cope, I will NOT spend real world money on "digital goods".
>>
>>735015516
AAA is just a 90s investment meme stemming from the fact that games were moving to CDs, which dropped production costs to pennies. It doesn't actually mean anything, and it consequently shouldn't inform price.
>Oh but ehrm budget
Really think about the fact that the marketing budget of a major game can often just be as large if not larger than the development budget. The budget that goes in is not that heavily correlated to the quality that goes out and budget can often be spent to make something worse.

20$ should be the upper limit for fully featured games, but it should be up to the games themselves to show that they're worth that cost, not some imaginary pedigree.

This was really already known even when software copyright wasn't a thing and people were complaining about software theft.
>"When software is free, or so inexpensive that it's easier to pay for it than to duplicate it, then it won't be "stolen" - Jim Warren 1976
>>735015764
>No physical discs being produced anymore
Like I said, physical discs were already a massive cost savings over cartridges and other means of distribution, they may as well have already been free.
CDs and DVDs would have been the new penny dreadfuls, except that publishers got too greedy.
>>
Are there any good recent first person slashers? Would Doom TDA fit that description?
Played a fair amount of mortal sin recently but I don't think I can go through the same four levels again. I know of VOIN and Daimon Blades but they aren't out yet(fuck early access).

doom dark ages cracker is named "voices38" and the crack involves "hypervisor".
that's all i know, haven't seen where the method is supposed to have been shared
>>
>>735016924
I think it's unlikely that he's sharing it at this point, would be too risky.

>>735016924

some people seem to think voices38 is just the empress guy under a new name

piracy is theft outside legal borders if I remember correctly
file sharing is neither theft nor piracy. It is just breaking copyright law in places where such law exists (practically).

>>735012862
Stellar Blade
That's about it.
>>
>>735016924
>and the crack involves "hypervisor".
No, that's completely unrelated.
The hypervisor crack is the current method used in basically all Denuvo games for the last 2 years by other crackers.
voices38 cracks are actual old-school cracks, with no hypervisor or disabling of security features required.

the men doing this clearly thinks it is fun and earns them respect so still worth the effort.
voices38 cracked some 2024 games that still had denuvo so those 2025 games would probably still have denuvo into 2027

>>735018597
i meant future proof cracks, hypervisor (VM stuff) cracks can stop working if windows releases an update, and most likely would not work if moving to a new version of windows.
non-hypervisor cracks should keep working forever (on win12, win13, whatever).

Anon, there are games from 2017 that still have Denuvo despite being cracked years ago (looking at you Sonic Forces).
Sega is notorious for this because the company is run by retards.

Anno 1800 only got cracked recently by voices too, beforehand the pirated version was severely outdated
I fell for the anons shilling and bought the game when it went on a discount for $5 or whatever it was last summer so I could pirate all the DLCs instead of playing the old build

The assumption that games should be free is retarded.

It's less that games should be free and more that any money I give you for a digital "product" is something I consider a donation, so if I don't like you on a personal level, you don't get my money, unless you're providing me with a physical product.
And I hate pretty much all publicly-traded companies.
>>
>>735012959
Ok then bring back death for usury and currency printing, charging interest which doesn't even exist in the system in the first place. How about that, if you can advocate for that first then maybe no one would pirate because they aren't being STOLEN from by currency inflation.

O wait, you're a bot or shill for corporations.
