So we all agree that this was a load of old shit, right?

By the amount of seething threads it's getting, i see the opposite

I don’t see the appeal of the open world when it’s all just floating rails

It's fun, but not exactly "good".
It owes the majority of its success to the inherent qualities of controlling a fast moving character around and exploring, but ultimately it has very weak design.

OK you niggers, what would you prefer: for the next mainline 3D Sonic to be an improvement on Frontiers OR the unequivocally best boost game in the style of Colors/Generations?
>>
The rpg mechanics are kinda shit
>>

Why not both? If they just port the Shadow Gens controls into the cyberspace stages, remove all the input delays, camera fuckery, the parry, and the RPG system, and make some original textures that don't look like stock UE5 shit, we'd have 10/10 game on our hands

Basically they should just make Frontiers into a pre-BotW Zelda style game

The challenge stages were fun and had good music
The titan bosses were enjoyable fluff
The open world ranges from boring to god-awful, which is a problem when that's 90% of the game
