I played this well after going through Zero escape/somnium
The novely wore off and obviously didn't hit as hard, but it was still very enjoyable. The "find coco" part gave me goosebumps.
Now THIS however, is probably his biggest masterpiece in terms of 4th wall fuckery and twists.

Tell me an American joke

R11 wasn't really "finished", though. It lacked a true ending and there was a LOT of stuff left un-explained.
Ever17 is the greatest work of fiction in all of human history, IMO. No, I'm not baiting.

I really like how Uchikoshi can make an asphyxiating atmosphere of isolation. Somnium was nice, but it's just not the same. Hopefully 2028 is already close

This artstyle gives me a feel that this girl will die horribly because 20 hours ago you made a yes choice instead of a no choice and now you're locked into a bad ending.

I forgot to put in my message, I believe it's magnum opus in terms of twists DESPITE being blatantly unfinished.
Hell I'd argue if it were to be remade today the ending wouldn't change all that much.
>Ever17 is the greatest work of fiction in all of human history
I mean, if you remove the stupid filler routes and chicken sandwich saturation, MAYBE you'd have a point.

Man there are no other writers who can scratch that itch. Unless you have recommandations

Umineko and Higurashi get there in some episodes I guess

I agree with anon I got too hyped up on ever17 and the twists in that game were way tamer than VLR so you end up feeling a bit deflated.
ever17 is a bit tighter as a story ig because there aren’t blatant plot holes like in VLR and ZTD isn’t around to retroactively ruin things.

Never realized how lucky I was to read E17 before Zero Escape

Have you read Raging Loop?
>>
>>735021991
I've read those already, at times it reminded me of Uchikochi kino at some parts which was good

I haven't, but it's been on my list
It's from the co-writer of the infinity triology right?

>It's from the co-writer of the infinity triology right?
Nah, it's from some other guy who goes by the pseudonym "Amphibian". It has a similar sort of feeling as Higurashi, except it's not utter garbage.
