in hindsight, were we too harsh on starfield?
>>
>>735024826
We weren't harsh enough.
>>
why should i trust 4chan incels over gmanlives?
>>
>>735024826
Of course he shilled for Starfield
>>
>>735024826
still waiting for it to be engoodend. i'll inspec this this new DLC and update for next weeks PS5 version and ponder my next move.
>>
Its the first bethasda game where I stopped playing after a hour I first played it.
>oblivion played until console froze
>fallout new vegas played until console froze
>fallout 3 played until console froze
>skyrim played until console froze
>fallout 4 played all day and let gtx970 rest
It was the worst game made, it felt like a unity game from 2014.

I trusted his review, so I played it.

I don't know what coolaid he was drinking but I played for 25 hours and only had fun for about 2.
>>
>>735025521

This.
I can seamlessly land on planets in this jank ass indie game but you can't in Starfield. Everything needs a loading screen.

KWAB
>>
>>735024826
What did it achieve?
>>
>>735026053
it delayed Elder Scrolls 6 by 10 years
>>
>>735024826
why would a futuristic space suit use a tiny penlight
>>
>>735026053
Prove that the biggest problem of Beth games is not bugs but soulessnes
>>
>>735024826
No Bethesda has been too complacent and arrogant and Starfield's ripple effects of failures and the harsh criticism levied at it must be the defibrillation Bethesda needs to get back to at least basically competent if and when we eventually get Skyrim 2 or Fallout 5.

Todd better not fuck this up. If he does, they should publicly execute everyone in BGS (and the indian branch) and burn it to the ground for the insult.
>>
>>735024826
starfield was goty for me until I realized how badly the fucked it up and I've never played since
bought it on launch and really enjoyed it for roughly 170h
>main story mission gives you 0 (zero) incentive to play it and if you decide to play it the bland story and 1 dimensional npcs literally make you want to stop
>side quests are all the same fetch/kill/escort radiant missions with no actual story or motive behind any of it
>faction quests are enjoyable but fall flat the moment you realize all the world changing a d high impact storylines have no actual ramifications outside their enclosed linear environment
>base/ship/gum building is rendered useless and actually a complete waste of time due to the NG+ mechanic up until your 10th NG+ where you are softlocked progression wise
>despite having a literal reset button where you could theoretically do all or lock yourself out of all content in any given playthrough and still have the opportunity to endlessly do it again, bethesda still has ESSENTIAL npcs and this time you can't even shoot them
I didn't even mind all the loading screens or not actually being able to fly your ship in space indefinitely or the fact that the planets are all randomly generated uninteresting places or the thousands of other things are are wrong with the game, but just those things I mentioned made it literally unplayable for me

>>735024826
So good Camelworks died because of it.
>>

>go on mission to rescue missing researcher
>now I'm fighting space ghosts?
>guess I'm returning this station to it's owners
>grav drive on... am I not going back to my ship???
>okay... I'm now at the secret space snake cult's homeworld?
>fine whatever, I'll "join" your cult
>meet local leaders
>yap yap yap yap yap snark snark snark
>immediately deduce who the problem is in their leadership structure
>try to do them a favor and kill snarky nigress
>protected npc
>must run and gun all the way back to ship
>take off and flee cult ships
>get chastised by companion
>turn off game and haven't played since
No.

It's one of those games that makes you feel like you can do so much, but you quickly realize that there's no point to most of it and every system is almost comically undercooked.

I have no idea what's coming next week, but if they expanded on the stuff in the game and fleshed it out, they could make Starfield into something great. I'm almost certain the whole thing is going to be a huge letdown though.

The release of starfield was by far the best time I've had on /v/. The memes have not been surpassed
>>
it will never not be funny how they marketed the entire game as true nasapunk and you have shouts and shit
>>
>>735024826
Given it still has defenders, we weren't harsh enough.
