do zoomers have it worse?
Roblox
>>735029567Is this like a vidya butts thing?
>>735029283I don't think I ever read any of the pamphlets or guides which came with games
https://youtu.be/U6oEATbthGk?is=sv1eHQDRELL7civNZoomers should play morrowind
>>735029283Why didn't they show the "now"?
>>735030112Because there's really nothing to show.
>>735029767>pamphlets or guidesYou mean the manual.
>>735030112pointlessyou buy the game on steam and that's it
>>735030341>steam>buy
>>735029767Because you're a broken normie who doesn't care about creativity.
>>735029821>zoomers >uploads basedjacks kettle, meet pot
>>735029283>no cloth map>manual not written in character of in-game persona
>>735029283Those older PC boxes with all the cool shit thrown in is really the only thing I miss about them. The newer cases around 2009-2010 were just so mediocre in comparison.
>>735029767they were like crack to me as a kid.
>>735030447The amount of effort put in to make something so fucking awful looking is a true waste of time and talent.
>>735029283Yeah.Switch 2 game keycards (dont own the game)Xbox physical releases are often the same as game keycards (dont own the game)Playstation is better on this issue however some games are also just game keycards.
>>735030597Because they stopped giving a shit until physical pc copies eventually diedLast physical pc game I think I bought was nudoom, it was kinda cool I guess since it had a reversible cover
>>735030341>steam>own
>>735029283The original release already came with that map? And morrowfag constantly talk about "exploration" and "mistery". Lmao.
>>735030341>you buy the game on steamWhy?Theres no reason to pay if you dont own it.Steam is gay, just pirate it so you actually own it
>>735029767i really liked to read the description of the game on the back of the box, they'd usually have images of what the game is supposed to look like as wellthen you'd actually boot up the game and it would be nothing like thatkinda similar to video game trailers now that i think about it
im ok with digital but i'm not paying more than 1/10th of what you're asking since it's revocable and not real
>>735034325Based. Also same. Well not really same; I did actually buy Paranormasight: Seven Mysteries of Honjo for 10€. I think that was only half off, but since it's not any modern trending genre-slop I thought it was fair, and the developer can probably use what small contribution they actually get from that purchase
>>735029283OP you're never going to make gamers care about hard copies again - it doesn't matter how much you try - people don't get their accounts banned enough on steam for this to ever matter - please fix your life and be happier
>>735034325I simply wont pay for digital media. If you want to, to support the dev then good for you but I consider it just charity. If I dont own it by buying im not paying.I do buy physical media tho
>>735034638>If you want to, to support the dev then good for you but I consider it just charity.Fair. Would you then consider making an exception for a developer you feel might struggle financially?
>>735029283Digital > physical
>>735034638i might have picked up a game like berry bury berry off the shelf for 20 bucks when i was a teenagerprobably would have ended up complaining that it's too short or is limited in depth or something but part of the value was the excitement of owning something and also perhaps not knowing what it really wasbut today on steam a game like that only costs 8 dollars because let's be real it's just unityslop, it's not a real product, and when it came out it was not even finished
>>735034559You should play the second one, it's even better. Me, you, and 8 other people have played this series and enjoy itqq
>>735035480I will, definitely. Loving the first one thus far.
>vs now >There is no now
>>735029283I miss when you could truly take a break from the world. Kids these days will never know the feeling
>>735029767the manuals that came with old Blizzard games were kino
>>735029767And you're the faggot who demands every game have a tutorial and bitch when it doesn't. RTFM.
>>735029283The real question is: how do you feel about minimalism?
>>735034605fundamental problem is storage for AA/AAA gamesfor Indies, publishing hard copies is just wishful thinking for the most part
MGS2 Manuel was a manga, pretty dope way to explain basic controls desu
>>735030112>2026>buying gamesHuh?
>>735029767>not reading the manual in the car ride back home and whenever you have to take a dump
>>735038470*shits in the car while Sonic jumps on the scenery*
Fact 1: it is cool to have actual physical itemsFact 2: it is so much easier just being able to buy digitally where you can get 20+ year old games without having to hunt them down with very few exceptions
It's just nostalgia. It's cardboard cruft. Things are getting better and not worse.
sold my childhood vidya collection 10 years. had all the good stuff for snes/ps1/gba/n64 complete in box. sold it for roughly 10k on ebay and bought myself a car. best decision would do it again.
