Is this the best one in the market?
>>735033453What does it do that the Vader 5 doesn't?
>>735033453No, either a Microsoft Wired Xbox Series X for PC or PowerA Wired Xbox Series X, anything else is cheap crap.
>>735034230>Stick drifts
>>735034230now the xbox one is the cheap crap
>>735033453Man, I have this sealed Wii Pro Controller but it only piggybacks to a charged Wiimote. It's basically e-waste from the start. Why was there never a charge while you play usb solution?
>>735033453>$159.99
>>735033453nah. x360 is still the goat
>>735033671Vader 5 pro is very nice for the money really cannot be beat >>735035348Vader 5 pro is actually better, sorry. You should try it if you haven't i used to be 360 only until I tried one, its objectively better
>>735036763is it 7x better? because that's the price difference for me here
>>735037073Have you tried not living in Brazil?
>>735037234nice argument. so it's not 7x times better and you're just shamelessly shilling it at jannie's payrate lmao
Does anyone know a controller that has a dpad like the series x controller but lower latency than it? My xbox controller is starting to have sticky buttons and i never really liked how the buttons feel on it but the dpad is amazing. Also the price should be around 30-60$ lol.
One of the best in the house at an affordable price
>>735036763I probably would've bought one if full Steam Input support wasn't exclusively wired.
>>7350373808bitdo ultimates are xbox format copies with really good latency, but their line up is confusing as fuck so read carefully on the features included
>>735037542design looks like ass and I heard dpad is not good
>>735037720Yeah thats the issue with me. I was thinking of buying a utlimate 2c wireless but i am too paranoid that I will get a 2c bluetooth instead which has shitty latency.
If you paid more than $50 for a gamepad, you got scammed
>>735035348i like the 360 controller less than the dualsense and switch 2 pro controller, the tiny triggers blow.
>>735037847I'm a sucker for symmetrical controller but the dpad is debatable. I don't mind it but 2D enthusiasts will definitely have a problem with most modern dpads on the market so you could go for a controller specialized in that department.
>>735037380There are (or were) a lot of controllers that copied the SeX d-pad plastic, but I don't think any of them use the exact same dome switches internally. Lower latency options are Gulikit ES/ES Pro (microswitch?) and PXN P5 8K (flat tactile switch).
>>735033453got this on aliexpress for around $8, not bad at all for the price
>>735038334Hey thanks Anon this looks right up my alley. How are the face buttons? Are they like the ones in the xbox controller or more smooth like a ps controller?
>>735037720>8bitdo ultimates are xbox format copiesOnly in button layout. In shape and size they're closer to a Nintendo pad, especially the grips- small and pointed directly down instead of angled outwards.
>>735038316It'd be nice if there was a source of detailed d-pad reviews. You rarely get info beyond "I held right in a platformer and did a hadouken, it's good". Accidental diagonals, accidental cardinals, perpendicular inputs when alternating directions, difficulty of rolling inputs, actuation force, size, and shape can all be make or break in some fashion. Though even if someone were to compile a database, QC would likely throw a wrench into things without having multiple units of each to determine the "correct" behavior.

>>735038316>>735041438I play a fuckload of 2D games and I like the D-Pad.The problem with D-Pad reviews is that they are incredibly subjective and also behave very differently based on how you hold your thumb. There's also some stupid misconceptions. Like you see morons do the "contra test" which is tests if your d-pad triggers diagonals when you wiggle the sides of the down direction and say its a bad thing if it does.Thats wrong. The SNES D-Pad triggered diagonals like that and it was considered a great d-pad.Meanwhile I tried something like the Saar Tarantula and I straight up couldnt trigger diagonals at all on it, just cardinals. Though I heard they improved that at least. Also I'm still not fully convinced that clicky switch based d-pads are better than membrane.
>>735042012I cannot stand a microswitch d-pad. If it's not membrane then I don't buy it.
I bought a Gamesir G7 pro recently and I like it for the most part but I can't stand the Dpad.It feels so loose in it's slot and in particular when I press down on it it always feels like it's pressing down twice. The dpad is modular and it comes with two shapes besides the default but no matter which one I use I don't think it feels very good. I'd much rather they just made a standard, unswitchable Dpad but had it feel actually good.
>>735042012The Contra test is absolutely useful information and not mutually inclusive to d-pads with good diagonals. I couldn't use an IINE Bastet for Nightreign because it was so diagonal-happy I kept swapping weapons when using items and vice versa, but its mushy button rubber made it awful for rolling inputs in fighting games too. Gulikit Elves 2 doesn't give diagonals for off-center inputs or wiggling, but is still very easy to do rolling inputs or intentional diagonals on.But that's also the sort of thing I mean by a lack of detailed reviews. You likely only get accidental diagonals from wiggling tested, not how easy or hard it is to get intentional ones, which as you mentioned with the Tarantula is equally important.I'd say membrane > mechanical on a good d-pad, but I'd also say the worst mechanicals I've used are "good enough" and better than the majority of membrane. I never tried anything as supposedly bad as the Tarantula though, worst was Mobapad Chitu which was slightly prone to accidental diagonals and was difficult to keep track of thumb placement due to no texturing on the Elite style dish.
>>735043687check out the o-ring mod fix. it's cheap and easy and fixed all my issues with it
I have the Apex 4 and man, what a battery. I charge once a week and I've been playing MGS every day
