I wasn't disappointed, but there were a couple of issues with it. I guess my first one would be that the customizable moveset doesn't really gel with static, fairly easy level designs. And the second would be that the story rarely made me feel like I was doing anything important. That normally wouldn't be a big deal for a platformer but the emphasis the game puts on the cutscenes and backstories makes this issue more apparent.

I enjoyed it
Good worldbuilding, music, atmosphere
Satisfying movement once you get the hang of the controls and are as far away as possible from the inconsistent-as-fuck disappearing platforms
Nice variety in the platforming challenges
But
Combat is completely pointless outside of the bosses
The story is very plain and 90% of the dialog between the cast members (including antagonists) could have been removed
