This series is just first person Diablo disguised as a zombie survival game, and I do not like it. Not one bit.

I liked the Slums area. Felt really dirty and gross and iirc it was frequently raining. Had a unique aura to it that I've not really felt in another game.
Jungle was entirely forgettable though.

Yeah it was dogshit, the premise was somewhat interesting at the time with the beach resort and tropical landscape but the story was fucking dogshit and the zombies kept getting tankier and tankier while weapons kept breaking after a couple of swings, shit felt like a chore to play and wasn't fun unless you had a bunch of friends to fuck around with cause playing solo was like passing a kidney stone.
