all remakes are bad. remakes as a concept are bad and if you enjoy them you don't actually like games. gaming will never be art as long as gamers like and support remakes. it's not only a normie thing, even lots of gaming elitists on here will support remakes like the resident evilsif you like any remake you shouldn't be allowed on the board
>>735043540What about re1?
>>735044757same thing, it's not only a violation of the original but it is inferior in many waysthis might be a gotcha for dumb people but not for anyone that actually knows why remakes are bad
>>735043540Video games aren't art and are just products to be sold??? WHOA!!!!
>>735046405stupid point, you could say this about movies, books, paintings, etc. they're made to sell copies. but no book worm would advocate for moby dick to be rewritten or the mona lisa to be repainted yet gamers want just that
>>735043540truethere's no such thing as a good remake
>>735043540you are trans
Games will never be art, and thats fine. There was a brief period of time between arcade quarter sucking and fomo live service stuff where games were "complete experiences" resembling movies but that was an anomaly, and not what games actually are.
Video games are games.
>>735046763movies are moviesso?
Disgaree
>>735043540Trying too hard to fit in.
Remakes are bad because those resources could have been used to make a new game instead. As much as the Resident Evil 4 Remake is better than Requiem, I still would rather play something new over a remake.
>>735049782Requiem is a remake of re4r and re7 thougheverbeit
Video games aren't art so yeah I guess I do like them. Get out of my hobby you artfags.
>>735043540>gaming will never be artI don't care. I enjoy remakes since most modern games are shit. Never mind art
The only people that care about gaming being considered art are game journos and critics that have to explain their job at the Thanksgiving family gathering every year.
>>735043540>all remakes are bad
>>735043540Name five new movies not based off an existing IP
>>735043540>implying remakes as a media practice are exclusive to video games
