.hack Infection. Fuck Skeith, wasted all my good healing items and 90% of all my basic ones while he kept oneshotting Mistral then data draining me. Gonna take a break before going into Mutation. Hope the sequel has better party AI because needing to tell my party to heal themselves or explicitly use their skills is awful. Didn't watch Sign or the Liminality OVA, so I'll watch those before continuing.

been replaying Radiata Stories, the nonhuman route. love the game but man the route split has some serious issues on both sides, nonhumans get the better main plot but no side content and all their settlements suck, basically every boss fight is a mandatory loss and you don't get to fight the dragons until post game. Humans get the best city in the game, all the side content and all the boss fights, but a very poor main plotline.

The early game stuff with Van is unfortunately pretty bad but it massively picks up when you unlock route select and play as Rean's group.
>Van's story is Daybreak 2-2
>Rean's story is kino mystery solving and lore bombs
>Kevin's story is more picnic stuff but with Kevin there I guess
Van eventually gets better too. It's worth playing to the end at least, the Finale chapter is a must-play.

Recommend me a 3d jrpg that doesn't have a fixed camera and isn't an action rpg, I want normal turn based combat.

I'm 8 hours in radiant historia and it's boring the shit out of me. There's so little gameplay and just endless dialogue. I'm about to drop it. Jrpgs are my favorite too but I just can't get into it and I don't care about the story

Yeah, this shit always gets me. I finished Tales of Symphonia and enjoyed playing it so I decided to quickly go to Tales of the Abyss and it's nothing but story. Every five seconds there's some sort of story sequence or dialogue scene. The actual gameplay segments are okay but they're clearly a downgrade to Symphonia since the game is so linear in every way. It's like the devs wanted to make an anime but were forced to make a game instead.
