How can zombies still have their hair for almost 30 years?

not just their hair but fresh blood still circulating in their dusty ass bodies

hair doesn't stop growing when you die

that I don't have an answer for, however

That's a myth based on a corpse's skin receding making it look like hair and nails kept growing

I'm not playing Requiem anytime soon, what is this nonsense? Is the game about zombies from the 1998 zombie crisis in Racoon city that are still around somehow?

My understanding of it is that the T-Virus, and later G-Virus, were attempts to create Tyrants that got out of hand. In subjects it didn't work for, they became these half-alive creatures who are partially revitalized (taller, aggressive), half falling apart (brain damage, necrotic tissue). G-Virus is more of the same. Birkin injected himself with an overdose of G-Virus, which haphazardly worked and turned him into a Tyrant-like creature rather than a zombie.

The thing is that these things don't look like they're thriving rather falling apart and aren't created in a lab to be long lasting creatures. How are they still around?

you lose hair because of testosterone and other hormones. when you die you don't get any more of that.
>>
>>735058380
The same way their clothes don't disintigrate after being exposed to the elements for years and their limbs still move despite having no calories or basic chemical reactions to power the muscles. Sometimes not even muscles depending on the zombie type.

Because they are reanimated corpses, T-virus keeps their vitals functionally working.

Zombies (or at least RE zombies) are not technically dead

They're not dead, they're alive.

>>735059521
yeah, but does this creautre look like something that is gonna have a 50 year life span? Dangerous in the short term, but long life doesn't look to be in its cards.
>>
>>735058380
...would you?

That's not an ingame screenshot you dingus, actually 1998 zombies in the game are crusty as fuck

>How are they still around?
spoiler answer is that there's a secret former umbrella lab operating under raccoon city that's been active the whole time, the nuke was a false flag they set up to make everyone think shit was done there and stop paying attention to it
they're still doing zombie science there
>>

>RE zombies are not technically dead
Yes they are, idiot. They're not already decomposing corpses rising from the cemetery like in any movie but infected by virus transmission instead, but in the end, either due to zombie attacks or due to the virus attacking their bodies until death, all those people are already dead when the automatic "gotta eat people" system kick in

So with that in mind, it's logical that, instead the usual body already nabbed by worms or time itself, a recently deceased body with at worst some slighty total body degeneration due to virus has a better chance of still conserve some hair, their clothes, etc

Clay virus got re--named "Progenitor Virus" because it sounds cooler. It's a bit of Engrish on the Japanese staff, since "Clay" referred to the ability of the virus to morph animal bodies. But when an English speaking person hears it, they think literal clay and it's weird.
>>
>>735059936
That is literally just semantics
>>
>>735058380
Zombies in general completely break down logically under the slightest scrutiny. An average adult person's required calorie and water intake would immobilize a zombie in days at most. A lack of sleep and nutrients would physically decompose a zombie over weeks even if they're not technically "dead". Humans are still relatively large, active mammals and have significant necessities.

Correct and zombie media wants the best of both worlds despite them contradicting themselves. Okay, so zombies are falling apart, but they're also super strong?

>on noes it's a real world zombie attack
>kicks them over because they're weak and falling apart
>>
>>735058432
It's not theirs
Why do you think they want to bite you

Because they're still somewhat alive, which is why raping them is so much better.
>>
Resident evil is fun campy horror.
You're not supposed to take it seriously.
Every time they try to play it serious their games suck.
>>
>>735058380
Better question how are they still active and haven't completely rotted or starved in that time?
>T virus mutations
okay whatever
