Are you guys getting PlayStation's final ever PC game? Another 100 hour round of comfy deliveries and mule bullying?
>>
>>735059953
Most likely. I enjoyed most of the fist game and from what I get the 2nd one is like DS1 but more MGSV flavored
>>
1 was already long enough, the gameplay was almost boring but it held my attention with it's plot and world
I don't know they can add in the sequel to make me care for another 100 hours
>>
>>735059953
>PlayStation's final ever PC game
Oh yea come to think about this it's probably is the last PS -> PC port.
Yea I'll play, the first one was great.
Shame there will be no more PS games but to be honest I only enjoyed the god of war and the death stranding.
>>
>>735059953
They couldn't have picked a worse day to release it. It's going to get horizon'd
>>
>>735059953
looking at the other PS5 games I have a gut feeling that its not going to go on sale as often and as cheap as the first one did so yeah
>>
>>735060667
What else is coming out?
>>
>>735059953
This isnt on PC already?
>>
>>735059953
No, apparently Debra Wilson is in it and I'm too petty to ignore that.
>>
>>735059953
>PlayStation's final ever PC game?
KEK!
Those money hungry yakuza will come back crawling sooner rather than later, after they realize that they're essentially cutting off 3/4 of their paying customers.

DS1 all but flopped on Piss4, and only broke through when the PC port arrived.
Consoles DIED already 15 years ago.
>>
>>735061840
PC players don't buy $60 or $70 games. You all pirate cracked games or play the latest f2p slop or wait 10 years down the line when the game is $10. It's a surprise that the game industry even bothers with you niggas at all. Not to mention all the potato thirdie PCs that complain about running a game and give games negative reviews for that. Abysmal platform.
>>
>>735061840
they already said they're pulling out because no one's buying them. kinda unsurprising though given how much people give them shit for making movie games.
>>
>>735061960
This narrative falls flat when a BILLION customers buy a game for sub 30 bucks.
Fucking Angry Birds made trillions by selling a silly mobile sloppa for 2 euros a pop.
>>
>>735062063
Piracy ensures their games won't ever sell well on it

It releases on the 19th with Crimson Desert. Like the zoomers say, Kojima is cooked. That is, if CD isn't a fucking scam, which seems a bit unlikely.
>>
>>735061960
PC players buy more premium games than Xbones.
>>
>>735062746
well putting them out after a year delay at full price with regional pricing bumping it up even further doesn't do them any favors
>>
Bought it on PS5 and it just doesn't click, feels like a parody of the first game. Dropped at Australia after the mining facility mission
t. 540LLL Chad on DS1
>>
>>735061960
Anon, Playstation players buy less games on Playstation than PC gamers on PC. The PS5 is literally the Fortnite machine, and all of Sony's first party titles that aren't Spider-Man 2, Demon's Souls and The Last of Us have been doing pretty average to poor on their own ecosystem. This isn't some victim blaming bullshit, this is literally fact. Sony is just trying to take advantage of Xbox's decline to go back to exclusives and recoup some of their losses from the live service nightmare freakout under Jim Ryan, but the reality is at best Wolverine might recoup expenditures and beyond, and anything else is just up in the wind.
>>
hell yeah I will but not for $70. Game is like 2 years old fuck off with this nonsense. I'll pick it up at $30, maybe even $40. DS was incredible Kojima is a genius.
>>
Not for 70 dollarydoos.
When it's 50. Same price I got DS1 for. I'm never paying 70.

ackchyually it hasn't even been a full year, it's the only reason I don't feel like a complete retard for picking it up now
>>
>>735063386
dang it's been a long rough year for me personally brother. stay safe out there my man don't let these women kill you.
>>
I heard the story is much worse but the gameplay is better. Is this true /v/?
>>
>>735063436
yeah to be honest I thought it's been about that long too when they first announced the pc port
>>
>>735059953
I already played through it on PS5 and did everything except the impossible delivery for that platinum trophy before burning out.
If they make a directors cut version that nerfs the vehicles to the ground I might buy it on PC at a steep sale.
>>
Yeah I think I will try the last playstation port ever until next month.
>>
>>735061420
imagine skipping a 60 hour kojima autism simulator because you got filtered by one VA cameo

you’re acting like she personally bricked your PS5 lmao

if the game’s good it’s good. if it sucks it’ll be because kojima disappeared up his own ass again, not because of 10 minutes of someone’s face capture. this is next level grudge holding.
>>
>>735059953
>PlayStation's final ever PC game
QRD? Didn't Helldivers do insanely well on PC? What happened?
>>
>>735068618
it's only a rumor so far but apparently sales on pc don't really increase long-term profit in any tangible way
>>
>>735068618
They'll keep releasing their multiplayer games on PC, but single player games will reportedly stay console exclusive in the future.
Sony thought PC players would buy a PS5 after seeing how baller the PC ports were, not realizing that PC gamers are trained to wait for sales before buying licenses for games on steam, so they're pretty much immune to FOMO.
>>
>>735059953
I got death stranding free on epic games. Forst bit is just you carrying things to point a to point b. Is this the whole game do you shoot enemies or drive a vehicle? What is the rest of the game? Is this all of it?
>>
>>735059953
I want Sony games off Steam so bad.
>>
>>735059953
Oh shit, I didn't even know this had been officially announced. The first game is the only one of these Sony PC releases I went for, so it's fine by me if the sequel is the last.
I guess I'll be disappointed if future Kojima games are exclusives though.
>>
3 more days let's fucking GO
>>
>>735059953
Eventually. I dont have time for much gaming and im stuck on a run of dragons Dogma 2 I get maybe an hour of that a week.
>>
>>735059953
100 hours? Nah, I'm on my 8th playthrough of DS1.
I plan on putting 1k hours into DS2, just like I did with DS1
>>
>>735069830
Fuck Sony anyway. I had my account hacked years ago they spent all my money (poor fag so only like 500 bucks but it was literally all i had)on digital copies of games I already owned so I could prove it wasnt me.
Contacted support first said lets get you a refund. Nothing happened. Contacted support again official word from Sony was get fucked retard we don't do refunds.
>>
>>735059953
yup kino game made better with more combat
>>
>>735068618
the only reason i can see this happening is because of microsoft making a xbox/pc "hybrid" aka a PC and you being able to play Sony ported PC games on it.

so blame the microslop jeets if this is true.
>>
>>735059953
I've heard it doubled down on combat, so i'll wait for a deep discount.
>>
>>735072735
when you say that I hope it's less run-of-the-mill third-person shooter combat and more "dropkick someone from a mile away and then launch a rocket powered briefcase to another person another mile away" combat
>>
where is the crack
>>
>>735060187

Yes there are guns later, but if you don't enjoy traversal challenges to deliver packages you may as well skip it
>>
Look I'm not the type of person to not waste stupid amounts of hours doing menial shit (like playing randomized games or collecting shit on older ass creed games like IV) but I don't know if I can see myself playing death stranding.
>>
>>735059953
I've never played a $70 game that I felt were worth it.
>>
>>735078004
just think of it like its resident evil except instead of a maze of a mansion with corridors full of zombies its wide open spaces with nothing on it
>>
>>735076826
Loaded and GMG don't have codes for where I live but Fanatical does
>>
DS2's endgame area with the snowy mountains looks incredible. So many naturally occuring kino shots where you're clambering up the snowy mountain, finally reach the ridge in time to see the sun rising or setting over the adjacent ridge. The day / night cycle added so much to the game.
>>
I put a pic of me on my motorcycle into chatgpt and told it to make me look like a death stranding porter.
>>
>>735059953
>80 bucks
No thanks. I'll wait for a sale. DS1 was mid as fuck.
>>
>>735082896

>>
I “pre bought” it already. Gonna play it all weekend. I heard a lot of bad things about the game, but I’ll probably still find some enjoyment in it. I wonder if there’s a way to mod this Dollman character out of the game. He in particular sounds annoying, the rest I can forgive

Yeah, when it hits GeForce Now. I suspect it’s launching on a Thursday because that is when GFN updates, and DS1DC just went up last week (for a long time, we only had vanilla DS1).

>>
>>735060837
Crimson Desert, I budgeted money for both an and aint buying another AAA price game for a while.
>>
>>735059953
Nah, these games seem tailor-made to get you to put 80 hours into a slog and stall out because you're stuck in some shitty situation. I'm already prone to leaving games half-finished, I didn't need the assistance from Mire Mechanics: The Swamp Suck.

most sony game sequels lost 50% of their peaks but this one comes out the same day as crimson desert so I think it'll be more than that.
>>
>>735082834
It's bizarre upon reflection that the first game didn't have a day/night cycle, seems like the first thing that'd come up when pitching the idea.
>>
>>735076085
Pirating Death Stranding and missing out on the community helping you build infrastructure in your world... do you pirate FPS multiplayers like ark raiders just to fight the robots too?

you are robbing yourself of the entire (MESSAGE) of the game by playing it offline... the connections you make with other .... its kind of a fucking major theme.
>>
>>735084929
>closing your blinds to admire the night sky in a video game

>>735085220
a major theme that falls flat on its face because the game fails to actually build connections between players, even ten year old mmos did a better job
>>
>>735085128
I mean with Death Stranding you can just reload a save and try the delivery mission again. Plus the games are generally forgiving once you know how everything works.
>>
>>735085128
80 hours is enough to platinum the game. You're not gonna get stuck. DS2 is easy compared to the first one.
>>
>>735085284
did you fucking play the 1st game? build the roads? request resources from players and have them delievered. there are so many systems i didnt know existed my first playthrough , its not spelt out to you but its there if you fucking look. most gamers ( and i did this too) just tried to brute force finishing the story and its missing out on so much,.

the game isn't for every type of gamer , its a nieche autistic type of game. where you spending 10 hours to build a highway means you can just breeze through the map and spam auto bots.

my first playthrough and my second one are entirely different experiences.
>>
>>735085043
