>today I will play Terraria>have to build mudhut motel for all the npcs>blood moon, have to skip>have to lookup what weapons i'll need>have to build 1 block wide platform bridge halfway across the world for wall of flesh>have to build platform bridge for mechs>nevermind, pirate invasion>have to excavate an entire chunk in my pristine jungle for planteraretarded shopping list game for children and the unemployed
Terraria is intended to be played by people who have already played and beaten Terraria.
>>735060894Uh yes that's what replayability means. That's only a bad thing if you're a goyslave who has to buy the newest AAAslop every time they're released and only play them once
terraria is genuinely evil. it's designed to waste your time as a human. Everything you do in the game, the checklists, the planning, the "work", the building, progression, literally everything is designed to occupy what you need to actually be doing in real life as a human being. You could say this about any game but it's 10x the amount for cuckraria
>>735060840>look upAnd bait failed

>>735060840Well sure if you play it with a wiki open and treat it like a check list of bosses.I play on mediumcore so when my character dies all the stuff I'm carrying is lost unless I can get back to it. And of course if I simply quit then it is also lost. With that in mind I play the game as if it is a world to tame so everywhere I go has to be easily accessible without all the mobility equipment. Things need to be handled slowly and deliberately with carving out the access routes in mind. When you do that you find that you've basically prepared most "boss arenas" anyway.
>>735060840The meteors are the worst.>have to put chests all over the terrain I want to save>have to mine out meteor and replace soil>have to move it somewhere>have to do it again because one isn't enough to prevent more>have to have a giant block of meteor just sitting in my world somewhereSo much of the game is just tedious.
>>735062552you're not supposed to move the meteors retard you can just drain the ocean with pumps and move it just below the clouds so that they'll always target the sky islands
>>735062552If you're that autistic about it just play on autist mode (journey), make a world and progress until a meteor drops, then analyze it and start over on a new world and immediately build a giant cock made out of meteorite. No meteors will fall, and as a bonus you have something to fill your giant gaping vagina.
>>735063008So the game doesn't want me to build commie blocks and wants me to build little towns for specific villagers in each biome, but fuck me if I care about the terrain? That's fucking stupid.
>>735063287>fuck me if I care about the terrainCorrect
>>735063287commie blocks is what everyone builds when they're starting out and setting up a pylon system is completely optionalit's you that's stupid
>>735063287Just ignore what the villagers want. Commie blocks are meant to be miserable to begin with.
>>735063287>but fuck mePass
>>735061018With respect, I disagree.
>>735062552I usually let the first meteor hit wherever it hits and after that, I TEdit a big meteor somewhere in space like a moon or something. I get to keep the crater to do something creative with, and I don't have to give a fuck about future meteors fucking my world up. It's only a problem if I faceplant into it while fighting Moon Lord or Empress of Light or something, but I think that's only happened like once.
>>735060840>>have to build 1 block wide platform bridge halfway across the world for wall of fleshactually the optimal setup now is 2 solid blocks so the bottom eye is above the bridge for optimal Night's Edge slashing
>>735063697Fuck that, stone platform or nothing
>>735063287Part of the fun of terraria is the terrain changing. The world isn't static, evil biome spreads, hard-mode introduces the hallowed, breaking demon alters causes ores to spawn underground, Chlorophyte starts grow in the Jungle. The world changes as you progress.
>>735060840bloatslop
>>735064009that doesn't mean anything
I miss Terraria
