they're ok, raid mode can be fun
>>
>>735061569
yeah
>>
I'm playing through Rev 1 on 3DS now and it's pretty awesome
>>
rev 2 is top 5 re games
>>
no

Rev's scanner is cool with 3DS's gyro aiming but PC controls just make it really tedious.

rev1 raid mode > rev2 raid mode

I got gaslit by Revelations 1 just like how I got gaslit by Sonic fans with CD.

I think owners of those pieces of hardware were coping hard that they needed to prop up a game from their library as the greatest thing ever. (Remember that the 3DS was struggling in its initial years).

2 has story co-op, pretty fun with a friend.

Rev 1 is a fairly basic but a fun little romp, play console version for a better experience.
Rev 2 is kinda hit or miss, plays and looks better than 1 because not bound by the constraints of the 3DS, but the partner gimmick is kind of a pain.

Only if you buy the urban ninja outfit for Moira

But people still praised it after it was ported.
Of course it got kinda gassed up. It was a pretty good RE game that came out in the same year as fucking SIX.
>>
>>735061569
The first one is fine if you've already played RE5 and 6, and you still want another. The second one blows.
>>
>>735061569
Rev1 falls off so fucking hard around Chris' Zenobia segment, I haven't beaten Rev2 yet.
>>
>>735061569
I haven't played 2, I'm sure the weird episodic release will get a $1 sale at one point.
1 was okay. It was nice to see the Dragon's Dogma DLC boss again, glad he found some work. I played it on PC so I just ignored that scanning shit, it barely matters.
In retrospect it's kind of a version of Callisto Protocol that actually works with its emphasis on dodging.
>>
>>735061569
yes, but you need to know beforehand that these games were made around the time they made 6, so the stories are especially moronic and while rev 1 is good its held back by being a handheld game
>>
Rev 1 is decent. Parts with Jill are pretty solid but it keeps breaking up the pacing by making you play as other characters in more action focused sections.
Never got very far in rev 2 but it seemed fine.

The Jill model is horrible, and it's got a bunch of OC donut steels no one cares about, but it's also got a hot goo lady, and the ship level is great. I like RE when it's smaller, enclosed areas like the original mansion or the train in 0, and in that respect Revelations delivers.

Raid mode is highly overrated. Why does there need to be a grindan content rehash mode for a game that is fundamentally only so-so in the action department?
>>
>>735061569
Yes, rev1 raid mode is also great. Rev2 is underrated as fuck
>>
>>735061569
Revelations 1 is a hybrid of classic trilogy resources and 4/5 action, it's pretty good even if scanning can be a bit pacebreaking. 2 I didn't play past the first episode on, really need to get around to the rest of it, but it's abnormally co-op focused yet solo playable, where one character does the action and the other does support, wasn't really sure what to feel on it at the time besides "Moira swears too much to be edgy", but it's held as pretty alright.

>Why does there need to be a grindan content rehash mode for a game that is fundamentally only so-so in the action department?
in terms of rev1, so that a kid with a 3ds gets a ton of extra playtime out of their handheld game instead of one play of the campaign and then it gets dumped. rev2 tried to do it its own way after that thanks to the console focus.

Deluxe Edition is worth peanuts these days on key sites and is pretty much the whole package (all eps + DLC)
>>
>>735061569
Yeah, they're both pretty decent.

Revelations 2 is great, Revelations 1 is pretty not great
third boat
>>
i played and completed both on ps4 they are still better than most modern releases
>>
>>735061569
Rev 2 raid mode is the peak.
I can't say the same about the campaing though.
>>
>>735061569
they're ok but forgettable
>>
>>735061569
The first one is one of my favourite RE games, i could never get into the main story of the second game (i shouls try again) but the second's Raid Mode is fucking god tier. They need to release a stand alone Raid Mode game with maps and characters from the entire series.
>>
>>735061569
no, they are absolute shit.
rev1 can be beat while waggling left and right the entire game. it's why people who love mercenaries think it's one of the greatest games ever made.
>>
>>735061569
Rev 2 is easily better than half the games in the franchise.

They're the last true canon Resident Evil games.
>>
> be me
> be of the final levels of Rev 1 as of yesterday
> very fun and honest game with more anti biological terrorism, Jill in a swimsuit, fun swimming parts
> fun scanner and upgrades mechanics
Play it to see what's happening in the RE world.
Also use the scanner for secrets.
