PSX has way more 2D and turn-based games, so it couldn't have aged worse. And both consoles' libraries are perfectly playable unless you're faggot zoomer.
>>
No analog stick by default.
It completely hamstrung the controls of most PS1 games which is why tank controls are common on PS1 but non-existent on N64.
>>
It aged much better though, Spyro is the only gen 5 3D platformer that feels completely playable today with zero compromises or headaches

Does it? Name some, just so I can see whether I've heard of them

I only played FF1 on a friend's PS1 back in the day, other than that I only played Tekken 3

Jack of all trades, master of none console. At the time it had everything so it was the obvious choice. nowadays you can trim the fat and you realize the only genre in which the ps1 excels are jrpgs. You want to play good 3D platformers, cartoonish racing, fps, action-adventure games? You will try the N64 games first. You want to play good fighting games, realistic racing, 2D platformers? You will try the Saturn games first.
