It will likely be something 14 original even if it does use an old name like Sage. As far as weapons go I think hammer or lance + shield are the best options. Lance + shield is fairly different from what we've currently got and I think there are a ton of things they could do with it aesthetically. Hammer would be easier to fit into the lore and would work for a Gaia or Nero trust if they ever decide to bring them back into the main story.
