the writers had 0 clue what they were doing and clearly didn't know what the game was really about because the comic immediately deviates into making it about Mercer needing to change the world for some reason.

which makes 0 sense because he didn't want to do that, and on top of that, i think one of the experiments literally escapes that you could have used as a villain or literally just made a new one by a new cell, literally anything would have been better than the shit we got

I still hold onto the cope that after the helicopter explosion multiple bits of Alex landed in different places and so the ones from the comic/2 are different from another chunk of Alex that also reformed and is still the same dude.
