What is the point of the double element besides making every monster ugly? Seems like pointless bloat considering you can just put the egg skill on anything you want. Do the elements significantly alter weaknesses and resistances?

2's main problem was trying to make me care about rath, the cockroach of the sky
3's main proble is all characters including protagonist being as unlikeable as handler, and thinking I'll give a fuck about them
