Problem with bringing back Grace as a playable character is that her whole appeal is that she's absolutely not built for this shit and is a nervous wreck but at the end she gets over it and ultimately saves the day. So a sequel would either have to make her more of a confident RE protag, which I don't think fans would like, or retcon her into being more weak and helpless again, which fans would probably hate even more.She might come back as a supporting character similar to Sherry in 9, I think Emily might actually end up being more important to the canon in later games due to the blood memory shit

I was also expecting more of what you do as Grace being reflected when switching to Leon, but they only did it once in the Care Center. Let's see what the DLC offers.

I think she's popular enough that people would like to have her back but there's almost no way to do it without significantly changing her character to where people might not like her as much. The point of Grace/Ethan is that they're a rookie nobody who doesn't know how to handle the situation as an excuse to have limited resource. slow paced survival horror gameplay. Bringing them back is counter productive. Just make a new nobody for Chris/Leon/Jill to rescue.

Unless Grace's daughter is kidnapped like RE8 there isn't anything anything dragging her back into a sequel, short of the hooded man that killed her mom is still alive or she is actaully a super special secret clone or her biologically father is Wesker or Spencer or some shit.
