How much does conviction matter outside of story in rogue trader? I just started up my first playthrough, choosing the priest background. Going full dogmatic seems like it aligns with the roleplay concept for the character, but apparently dogmatic is biased towards psykers because of some helmet they get? Does this shit even remotely matter? IDK if this is the kind of game that floods you in loot or not.

It uses a different system, and it doesn't have rest mechanics; aside from consumable items, every ability is either on cooldown, or is once per encounter at its most limited. Its still all about stacking synergies, but on more of a turn by turn basis, rather than huge pre-battle setup.That being said, we're expecting DLC3 in a couple months, and DLC4 maybe half a year from now. I personally enjoyed doing additional playthroughs as the DLC came out, but if you want to do one, big definitive playthrough, you might want to wait on it. The game has the same problems that WotR had/has with its Mythic Paths, where some options and routes are noticeably more half-baked than others.
