The point of DLSS originally was literally in the name, deep learned super sampling. To achieve the visual effect you'd usually get by using SSAA, at a fraction of the performance cost by using special ML learned algorithms. That's what DLSS upscaling managed to achieve, at least the newer models at higher resolutions.This DLSS5 shit however has nothing to do with that. It's genuinely just some generative AI instagram filter you'd get when a pajeet takes a photo and says "AI plees make me look very pretty saar." Get that shit off my screen. As an RTX4070 Ti Super owner I will never ever use it if that's what it does to character faces and replaces the artstyle.
