What's the loudest game you ever played? Where the audio was designed to have an impact.
>>735092673Fucking all of them.My eardrums get blown the fuck out with every new game I launch, even though my volume settings in windows are at like 30%, which work fine for everything except for games. Which all insist on having the volume maxed out at first launch. Why do they do this?
Don't know about "loudest", but the audio in MW2019 blew my ass off. The first time I heard the precision airstrike I got an erection.
>>735092673That one room in hotline miami.
>>735094087Yeah COD can get really fucking loud. I played COD4 on release in 2007 with a dual tower speaker setup cranked up it would shake my whole fucking house during firefights.
you guys dont have adjustable volume?
>>735092673Probably that one time I went through HL1 with sfx turned up too high but not so high to be painful. All gunfire drowned out any other sfx. >>735094261Holy shit yeah.
Guilty Gear X2, XX #Reload or XX AC+R
>>735092673Squad. The guns are already pretty loud but I turn them up further. If I accidentally shoot it will startle me. Firefighters should be so loud you struggle to hear the person next to you. Insurgency was also pretty good.
>>735094998The artillery is so loud comms usually go silent until it finishes. No one can hear shit.
>>735092673I was playing this earlier today and got stuck in the asylum. I got to the entrance of the building but the explosion that clears the entrance wouldn't trigger.
>>735092673Probably one of the battlefields with war tapes. Bad company 2 comes to mind that shit was awesome
There was that time Xenia Canary implemented a change, where it forcefully changed Windows volume and blasted alarm sound when trying to run ISO, calling you a pirate and not to come on Discord to ask about it.
>>735094829Came here to post this, this game was excessive even by arcade standards
>>735094829I have a memory of visiting this one arcade for the first time and the first and only thing I could hear was Jam's voice lines from 40 meters away.
>>735092673tarkov legit makes my ears hurt
>>735092673Desert Bus
i have tinnitus because my airgun exploded indoorsi hate loud thingsi don't want to hear ringing every waking moment of my life anymoreplease make it stopi don't deserve this for shooting at pinecones from my bedroom
>>735092673>2006>EA actually released a game called NiggerThings really were different back then, weren't they?
>>735092673Pre patch mirror knight. But it was because of a glitch. His lightning attack ignored all audio settings.Certainly had an impact on me.
>>735092673I wish so bad to play Black on PC with mouse and keyboard...
>>735103657Ok, I made a fast research, and maybe it's possible with this mod:https://github.com/garungorp/MouseInjectorDolphinDuckDamn... Black with mouse and keyboard... I have to try it one of these days!
>>735092673Bad Company 1 and 2 with ''wartapes'' as the audio option
>>735092673is this Black? this game had great guns and all the gun stuff was great
>>735092673That game. When I hooked my ps2 up to my hi-hi and fired the spas 12 for the first time my neighbours thought someone had crashed a car into their brick wall it was such a loud bang,
>>735092673I know people here will talk shit, but some of the gun sounds in Halo Infinite were pretty good. Sounded like each round packed a lot of punch and had a deep thump.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/4505330/10hit_Demo/this shit, jesus it's so loudTaiko takes 2nd place because of the drum.
>>735105381>we want the EAX audience
>>735105682The trailer is toned down. I got a noise complaint when playing that game during a fucking day.
>>735105854yknow what, i'll give it a go tomorrow and see if my headphones survive.
source games are the loudest things on the planetnamely TF2, it would behoove you to turn it down too because you need to listen for decloak sounds
Motorstorm idling on the ps3's XMB. You WILL like pendulum and so will everyone in a 3 mile radius.
>>735092926>Why do they do this? Most games aren't mastered for headphones users, unless there's a setting in game that lets you change the dynamic range to fit the closed listening space.
>>735094829The rollback update was a lot of fun for this. I knew my buddy played on speakers in an apartment, so I was just constantly going for Ground Viper and FB Tyrant Rave to annoy him and anyone else in his building.
>>735092673https://store.steampowered.com/app/2343100/Titanic_II_Orchestra_for_Dying_at_Sea/Titanic II
>>735092673Battlefield Bad Company 1 with the war tapes audio setting and my stereo on full blast. Holy fuck that shit kicked my shit in, made the guns in CoD sound like pellet guns in comparison.
>>735092673They just don't do it like that any more. I remember seeing this game and thinking the graphics were way past anything else on PS2.
>>735092673Dark Souls 3. So many enemies that just spam ear-piercing screeches the moment they aggro you. One of my main complaints about the game, actually
Do dodo do dodo dun dun dun
>>735092673
Bad Company 2 with a 5.1 stereo set. It was amazing seeing my desk shake and rumble in multiplayer. Also picrel, loudest arcade machine I've ever played, even turning the steering wheel was loud as it banged, god damn I love Sega racing games
