There's quite a few pokemon that have special interactions with each other, like Combee's individual bees all vying for Vespiqueen's affections/favor, so it's possible they've got something if they run into each other and talk, I just haven't spawned a Parasect yet

Honestly the paras situation is awful for all parties involved. Paras can't live without the mushroom, and the mushroom can't live without bodysnatching. The paras becomes a meat puppet completely controlled by the shroom, and the mushroom now has to deal with having to deal with things like emotion, locomotion, having senses, and the like instead of focusing on consuming decomposing matter. It's like showing a 2d cartoon the third dimension, they're just not well equipped to handle it.
