the "M" stands for Martin, as in Superb Martin, the Spanish carpenter who rescues Princess Peace from the diabolical Bowie.

Mozart. Everyone thought he was dead, but this was his way of signaling that Mario himself is actually Mozart in disguise.
>>735093375migger
masochist, why else would he come back after falling to his death, being burned to death, or eaten by Bowser?
>>735093375A couple theories1) It stands for Miyamoto, the character's creator.2) It stands for money, because collecting coins is a central aspect of his games.3) It stands for monkey, since the first antagonist in the franchise 'Donkey Kong', is a monkey4) It's an inverted 'W', since he's the opposite of the character 'Wario' from the 'Wario Land' and 'WarioWare' franchises.5) It stands for 'Milano'. Since the character in the picture is Italian, it could be indicating the city in Italy he comes from.6) It doesn't stand for nothing and they just thought it looked cool.7) It stands for mushroom, since he lives in the Mushroom Kingdom and consumes mushrooms to become stronger.Personally I'm partial to theory 4 but I could see theory 1 also being true.
