How do fans of any of the other Fighting Game franchises NOT feel extremely demoralized by how much Street Fighter/SF6 is dwarfing all of them? It's basically the entire genre for the mainstream. Japan most especially. It's practically a National-Event over there. Every other company will be taking from SF6's massive success too. SNK already has been trying to follow in their footsteps(to no avail).

So tournaments were hosting SF4 games and others latched on to the hype.Been the same since then. The die hard fans, especially KOF thought they were on equal footing with SF but got demoralized by the end of the SF5 era, with their KOF games consistently just getting Guilty Gear entrant numbers.Now they have accepted their position and don't argue above their station. They've had too long to prove similar popularity and have consistently failed. Their last recent attempt was the final nail.
