nobody working on re9 said the plot was going to be better then the earlier games, they just talked about how leon is cool and how we needed an autistic white woman to justify the scary scenes because leon is too coolmeanwhile ninja theory constantly talked up the game's story and characters and how they were a step above the previous games, and how ridiculous those games were, only to have a bunch of story fuckups and inconsistencies that those goofy earlier games that weren't trying managed to avoid.
