DLSS 5 is proof that video games are toys and products, not art. No film director would ever in a million years place a procedural AI filter over the film to make it “look better” across the board. They are highly autistic about lighting and the look of a shot and they refuse to let their vision get twisted by AI So many major studios from Capcom to Bethesda as well as Netease and Tencent have already signed off on DLSS 5 integration.
>No film director would ever in a million years place a procedural AI filter over the film to make it “look better”James Cameron is literally upscaling his own movies with AI and shilling it despite it looking like shit because he has a stake in an AI company

>>735101568Video games shouldn't strive to be called art anyways. You don't see people who make good games going "Ugh, it's art you just can't see it!" no, they just make good games and make billions while the sad critic whining "you'll never be art!" cries in his 2 x 2 apartment
>>735101568People with AIDS (AI Derangement Syndrome) are really annoying.
>>735105664I don’t really give a fuck about AI, I use it type emails for work all the time I’m just saying that games aren’t art and this is just another reason why
Video games were never art. No film director would go for "realistic lighting" of RTX, either, they very carefully curate the positioning of light sources & shadows in shots.
The new AI lighting over RE is what proves it to you, not half of the current output of the series being "modernized remakes"?
>>735105664Fuck off you damn nigger. The last thing I wanted in videogames is for them to look like that "Thing but Reimagined by LE AI" content farm garbage.
>>735101568at least... we added diverse devs and imported immigrants to work in big tech... art never mattered leftybros... AI can replace artists making textures, meshes, models.. just prompt engineers from third world necessary. at least we owned the chuds and trusted the wholesome big tech BLM refugees welcome companies...

>>735101568The vast majority of films are the same way thoIn fact almost all creations are just products for consumption with little merit beyond that
