Re7 still feels like the most cinematic game in the franchise. The antagonists feel so personally against you, their aesthetics and personalities are prominent especially with all the details in the Baker mansion. It has the scariest lore
>Bakers being forcefully turned into a texas chainsaw cannibal family that kidnaps people to use their corpses to create mold monsters
It's a shame it all falls apart during the boat section but it had the most unique setting the series. Each section dedicated to Jack, Marguerite, and Lucas shows you the hell that hundreds of people had to endure and how each of them preferred to kill. If the second half was as good as the first half, it could potentially be a top 3 RE game
>>
It also feels the least like RE

It has almost no connection to the rest of the series and has more scripted walking, watching and waiting than any game in the franchise

It has its moments but the it's custon-made for streamer jumpscaring rather than being a replay-friendly action game with fun mechanics

>the most cinematic game in the franchise
Yeah because it just rips off a bunch of movies
>>
It was definitely made with VR in mind
