I played (almost) every RE Game this year and I finally understand what "RE" is. And before people get confused: Yes, I also played RE2R, RE3R and RE4R, the 2 Remake actually got me into the series.I truly love the series now and here are the things I like:>Inventory management (yes, really)>Limited resources ("I should save my shotgun ammo")>Puzzles!>"I'm afraid">Avoid enemies>metroidvania-ish progressionBut yeah, those are my points I just don't like the CoD-like action slop. And before RE4 people jump at me, don't worry, it's a great game, easily top 30 or top 20 OAT, it just feels weird playing as Leon and Karate-kick every enemy and do action moves. I saw a tiny bit of RE Requiem and I'm honestly afraid to touch that shit, like wtf is leon doing? Is this CoD or RE? And no, I don't "hate" the new games...
