It's worth it for like $5-10. Anything more than that is asking too much. You're mostly roaming around a desert and some underground ruins doing lots of platforming and the fighting is mostly about color matching your gun colors while your robots help you out in various ways.
>>
>>735113994
pretty much this, there's nothing on this console that's not on something else that plays it better

Multiplats and exclusives that originally released for the platform. I'm the type of guy who dislikes playing games off-platform. I bought NEO TWEWY on Switch even though it performed and looked worse than the PS4 version for example and I refuse to play Dead Rising on anything but Xbox platforms.

I prefer Xbox for dudebro games (CoD for example), DC games like Arkham, Ubisoft games (Since they're dudebro adjacent), and general third-parties I don't "feel" like they should be played on my PS4 Pro/PS5 or Switch 1/2. Simple example is Biomutant, I can't see that as being a Playstation game but it's definitely an Xbox game. I'm also the kind of guy who uses PC solely for modding and double/triple-dipping because I prefer my initial experience to be on consoles as those are virtually always the target platform and have the least bugs an average, not to mention I can enjoy collecting trophies and achievements on consoles whereas PC achievements are 100% worthless not just to me but for proving I did anything because they're so heavily cheated.
>>
>>735116909
The One X maybe, but the base model is weaker than a Steam Deck, especially in terms of its CPU.
>>
>>735113779
great
i'll spend like hours downloading one game
compared to like 5 great games on x360 which is already cracked with a soft mod...

>>735117790
It's been garbage since the Xbone and hasn't recovered since.

>The controller has been a major downgrade from the 360 controller outside of the d-pad and is holding back gaming as a whole because gyro and haptics should be standardized at this point, and Nintendo and Microsoft should both standardize the touch screen. It's stupid at this point.
>The UI has been garbage ever since the NXE was introduced, and the Xbone/Series UI is honestly the worst UI I have ever used on a console.
It's laggy even with a SeX, it removes features to add in more ads (You used to be able to have infinite groups on the home page, now it's just two), video recording gets broken if you take screenshots during it so if you want to webm something it breaks like webm related (Look at the jump), screenshots are taken at 1/3rd the speed of PS4/5 or the S1/S2 so you constantly miss moments, and there was a point where you couldn't even delete add-ons for games you planned on buying in the future but wanted to get on sale so I just sat with like 16 GB for years being taken up by it.
>The physical space has been garbage since the Series released to the point that I have to go to LRG just to get Hi-Fi Rush or Grounded physically and that was a Microsoft-published game.
>There's no first-party games to really look forward to and everything they release is always mediocre at best with some exceptions like Indiana Jones which I still have to get.

>>735117985
Nah, I just have a lot of time into AC games because they're fun games. Just because I regularly post in AC threads doesn't mean I only play them. I play a plethora of stuff.
Currently I'm doing Genshin Impact, Wuthering Waves, Pokemon Red - Spongebob Edition, Assassin's Creed Shadows, Yakuza Kiwami 3, and Marvel Rivals. I'll be playing Hell is Us since I just grabbed it cheaply once I 100% K3 and maybe play Monster Rancher Battle Card GB.
>>
>>735118404
>since the Xbone
surely you mean the 360
>>
>>735118435
360 was fine until the Kinect which was basically only a year or two before it got sunset.

It had the best versions of multiplats pretty much guaranteed.
It had tons of Japanese games which also were almost always best on the 360.
It had the most populous multiplayer servers until the PS4 came along to the point that you could open up any random game with a tacked-on multiplayer mode like Singularity and still get a full game 3+ years after release.
It had the XNA games which were a great way to spend a dollar or two and get great games like Biscuit Romp, Defend Me Knight, Ninja Bros., CarneyVale Showtime, or Weapon of Choice.
It had the XBLA which had constantly new and unique games releasing on it because it was the first to really push and implement a digital storefront to that degree.

360 was an amazing system despite the garbage RRoD issues (Which I also got and managed to fix with a hot air gun), it just got worse towards the end of its life.

legitimately are there even any xbros left?

You'll see them on random forums where they're trying to justify their purchase or coping that the next Xbox will be a return to form instead of the final nail in the coffin for the brand. If you read any sort of news websites at all or something like Twitter these people are genuinely mentally unwell and take offense at anything you say about the brand or have some religious fervor against Playstation and Nintendo, it's honestly ridiculous.

The chillest Xbox fans I've ever met were people here of all places. Most of them understand you get a PSWii60 back in the day to get the best of all worlds or only really get something like the SeS for Gamepass. I've never seen someone who daily drives only the Xbox outside of random forums or things like Twitter. At least in real life I've seen the diehard ball and gun Playstation fans who are equally as mentally unwell.

They're basically a neutron star

>core implodes without raison d'ĂȘtre
>implosion causes the casual outer layers to bounce off to other systems/PC
>resulting core is batshit insane people only

Is this gonna mean we'll get an Xbone simulator. Does this mean they can maybe can some vital code or whatever for 360 emulation?

i feel like everything microsoft has been doing lately like finally makeing a lightweight windows version for handhelds and all this pc shit is too little too late

Bought one the month they came out, tried it for less than a week, returned it and bought the Playstation. 4 of my work buddies bought one too, we could not successfully join rooms to play games, and all but one of them returned theirs too (one kept his for his developmentally disabled kid to play and bought the PS for himself).

I think have one of the early 360 models and it practically vibrates apart whenever the disc drive is in use. It's really loud and I can pretty much feel the vibrations coming through the floor, but other than that it always worked just fine.

It's not just about being able to play, it's about preservation. You know, something Ross "Moldman" Scott is fighting for in a way.

As for what games, those are:
Halo 5
Forza Motorsport 5/6 (6 is on PC, but it's cut down)
Forza Horizon 2 (if you dare mention X360 version, consider suicide)
Rare Replay

Yes, not much. But they are still worth preserving, and the hack is exactly what was needed to do that.
>>
>>735124603
Make sure you always install games to the HDD. You want that disk drive unused as much as possible. That way if you bump into it or something you don't etch a circle into your disk. I nearly lost my copy of Oblivion because of a light bump gouged out a fourth of the disk which only seemed to get fixed with the toothpaste method. Ever since then I've installed the game to the HDD without a thought against it.
>>
>>735125086
Yeah, I used to do that. It would still vibrate loudly while the game was starting, but would stop after I got in-game.
>>
>>735113779
Does this pos console still require a first online authentication?
>>
>>735124774
I would almost agree with you except for the fact that console hardware don't last forever and their numbers don't get replenished after their generation. Eventually it will become harder and more expensive to find old consoles.

Emulation is better for preservation.
>>
>>735115050
the one plays about half the 360 library and a handful of original xbox games, except unlike how the 360 did it (run direct from the disc) the one just uses the disc as a license to download a prepackaged version of the game from the store.

if you just wanna play 360 games, get a slim or E and either RGH mod it or use the badupdate exploit. the original models of the 360 were susceptible to RROD but not later models

that's a bit much bloom, bro
>>
>>735127101
The later models also used 2.5 HDDs so you could get anything off the shelf whereas the older ones had proprietary ones. I still have the 120 GB one that came with my system and I'm thinking of grabbing a Slim just to make sure I don't have to deal with it anymore. What's better, E or Slim? I assume the E since it was later.
>>
>>735127358
the E has some goofy shit with the hard drive caddy and what not so the slim is usually what most of the xbox modding community goes with
>>
>>735126916
I never said that real hardware is the only choice. I'm all for emulation (or, since Xbone is pretty much a PC running customized Windows 10, interpretation), and the hack will allow to dump and preserve games, maybe also have a better glimpse at how stuff works and it'll give some insights to XWine1 team.
>>
>>735113779
Cool, now will overclocks happen? Because that Xbox One CPU is weak as fuck
>>
>>735127101
>get a slim or E and either RGH mod it or use the badupdate exploit
I'd just go for BadUpate, BadAvatar version works flawlessly and is fully automated, it's fully reversible (just unplug the USB stick with exploit) and it can be used on later X360 E Winchester models, which can't be hardmodded.
>>
>>735113994
Xbox and Xbox 360 games slightly upscaled at a steady framerate 4free.
That's the only thing this pos is worth for.

Until Helix comes out at least, but that's probably going to happen by the time this thing will get CFWed.
>>
>>735127590
So far any console that was hacked had tools made to overclock the hardware, be that OG Xbox, X360, PS3, PS Vita, etc. So it's only a matter of time. Though Xbone's CPU clocks aren't the real problem, it's the use of slow as fuck DDR3 RAM + ESRAM buffer (compared to PS4 using GDDR5)
