>>735115208America is fucking huge and had at least a hundred million people living on it historically at the time IIRC, they can't trample on its culture when they also have to subjugate Europe at the same time, the game happens around 15-20 years after the nazis won WW2.The narrative device is how the place still looks bright and colorful on the surface but it's genuinely terrible under the surface because people are being quietly genocided, it's far from nazi propaganda, it evokes the same effect nazi germany itself had where people pretended everything was fine while their neighbors were slowly disappearing, either from being found by the regime as an "undesirable" or being sent to a meat grinder conflict. The game doesn't really dwell on it though because it's an action shooter where you shoot nazis, it's not really going for the ramifications of what and how things would've happened.
