You needed to know the fact that you were heading into a tomb where there's no light to exterminate ghasts and prepare accordingly, or else you'll get stomped. Don't drink the cat's eye (or w/e it's called) potion? Don't bring torches? Guess what, you literally can't see because THERE'S NO LIGHT. You needed to gather the ingredients to make the potions (and know the recipes) and decide which ones to take while balancing toxicity, also only being able to craft at specific campsites which require waiting... etc. etc.In 3, you collect a single drowner tongue, ONCE, and have infinite swallow for the rest of the game. All potions are the same, and instant craft, instant cast (i.e. no drinking animation so they can be spammed mid combat in the pause menu.) Any monster can be beaten by spamming dodge roll enough, and the only real "challenge" is presented by level difference, which basically just means a high enough level common enemy like a ghoul can one-shot you while you have to spend 20 minutes spamming dodge roll and hoping your weapon has enough durability to kill what should be a trash mob. This is further trivialized by insta-cast quen(or whatever the earth shield was called) and other crap.The combat in the first was jank because the focus was more on the roleplay of being a professional monster hunter who uses knowledge and experience to gain the edge before going into battle. The 3rd was just another open world slop fest where you're expected to run around and beat up every random enemy you come across because all you have to do is press dodge and attack at the right time and maybe pause to heal every now and then.

I beat it with FCR mod on the hardest mode. Some of the fights towards the end were nearly impossible, literally.Was my 3rd playthrough of the game, and probably my last run ever. Farewell you beautiful polish jank game.
