The Animal Crossing Deluxe mod is definitely very impressive, but being constrained to GameCube limitations there's still only so much it can do. A PC port is comparatively limitless. You could even do things like simultaneous online play in the long run.

Pretty amazing feat considering this means other GameCube games are likely next and then hopefully android Linux versions but at the same time dolphin is considered the best emulator and I'm pretty sure every GameCube game is already fully playable perfectly so not exactly making waves out there

Hopefully they can mod in stuff like keeping villagers from moving out if you don't want them too, it sucked to open the game one day to see a villager move out even though you keep talking to each of them daily
