My tastes have literally stayed the same, a game like Kunitsugami or Pizza Tower or Homura Hime drops and they become some of my favourite games immediately. It's not my fault you guys normalized live services.

If anything as I've gotten older my taste has shifted older.
I don't want a "podcast/background noise" game, I want a piece of media I can sink my teeth into and have it challenge me a little. Least I feel like I am more engaged in the actual video game I am playing rather than using it as a mind numbing tool.
