Is this the most annoying enemy in the Souls games?Post yours.
These fuckers.
>>735126527The Stone Golems in DS1 because their paralyze spell is absolutely ridiculous with no indication of how long it lingers as an AOE. Dishonorable Mention: those fucking Revenants in Elden Ring. If you aren't playing a FTH build you might as well just quit to menu and go for a walk.
those damn toxic blow dart fuckers in Blighttown
>>735126527>skeleton starts rolling at me>I pull the ethernet plugheh, nothing personel
nigga just block with a shieldtrying to dodge everything is stubborn stupidity that turns this simple game into something unnecessarily difficult
>>735127235Funny how I've never known their actual ablities as I either got 1 shotted, or just skipped them.
It's their placements that fuck you over. The one in the catacombs is just a gank fiesta where blocking will get you stunlocked. The sewers in the Painted World is even worse because they blatanly created a one man corridor maze so these things can just roll onto you from behind.
Everything in ER. The game was designed with maximum annoyance in mind.
>>735126527*gravelords your catacombs*Lets see you deal with red phantom ones
>>735126527fucking dogs. in any game
>>735126527The single enemy that exposes that without TOR to salvage it, Bloodborne is a dogshit rushed mess. My favorite is when the spiders auto aggro you from the lamp
Witches of Hemwick but only in FRC chalices. If you know, you know.
if your answer isn't mind flayer from DS your age is showing.fuck those guys were annoying.everything else in this thread is easy mode.
>>735127310blocking these guys eats your stamina and you usually get guard broke though?
>>735127763The only annoying one was the forced red one in 3-2 that's always there no matter the tendency.
>>735127620>when you can hear the horde of spiders in the next room and see them clipping through the door trying to get to you
>>735126527I love in DS1 when they charge through the hole in the wall and attack the smith, there.
>>735127545if only gravelord worked before ng+
>>735127807Never had that issue. Use a higher stability shield, or have more stam. Grass crest is garbo for blocking, it’s only a stat stick. A +5 upgraded shield that drops off of hollows in undeadburg, or knight shield, works fine enough. Any greatshield completely cheeses them. Only reason you wouldn’t is if you’re bumrushing pinwheel early for rite of kindling, but you don’t really need that before anal rodeo.
The Blowdart Snipers from Blighttown. They're not particularly terrible, but if I happen to have skipped Darkroot Garden (A.K.A. not grabbed any blooming purple moss beforehand) it's a pain in the ass to get the toxic status through an already annoying area.
>>735127310you need a greatshield to block more than one of them at a time, I usually get killed when i'm attacking the first one that lost his stamina.
>>735127272>>735128072Knowing I can entirely skip these fuckers on my second playthrough was so satisfying
>>735127572Fucking this. Let ME have a turn, faggots!
WHY DOES THIS THING ONLY HAS GRABBING ATTACKS??I FUCKING HATE GRABBING ATTACKS! AND THE ANIMATION OF THESE CUNTS SUCKING YOU OFF SHOULDN'T LAST FIVE FUCKING SECONDS!
>>735127572why the fuck do their attacks stagger you its so bullshit its a dog fromsoft, i can tank a hit from a sword but not a dog bite apparently
>>735126527Nobody remembers the DS2 invisible bandits in the foggy woods since it is such a short section, but I fucking remember.
Those jackoffs with the branding irons who lower your max health by looking at you.
>>735132138just hit one of the trees there, ez
>>735126527Don't lock on and just walk around them.
>>735126527Spooky scary skeletons send shivers down my spine
>>735127572Take the shield pill. They will run up to you, hit your shield and totally get stunned, with a huge opening for you to attack
>>735133893I've never been one to use shields. It's why I'd never make it as a medieval knight.
>>735133956I'm honestly addicted to them in these games. So satisfying to say NO! and completely halt some spazzy enemies with my high stability shield and larger than it should be stamina bar
>>735132138these were good enemiesso were the horses in horsefuck valley
Hate these fuckers
>>735133956shields ftw. reason i couldnt stand bloodborne. where's my shield at
Cool design. Bullshit enemy.
I used to say these, but with a fast attacking bleed weapon and light rolls they're actually fine. But on every other build they suck. Also I fucking hate the Curseblades in the DLC, they do way too much damage, attack way too fast and are way too hard to stagger. Like if they were glass cannon enemies they would be fine but no, they're fast and tanky.
>>735132138It's easyAnd it does a lot of damage>>735134098If you make a game with invisible enemies but also floating health bars (that show up on those) you're a fucking hack that doesn't understand videogames
>>735127235They aren't so smart when you hit em with the barbed club
I can't believe nobody has mentioned the fucking Rune bears yet. Especially the one in the snowy area.
>>735134857>If you make a game with invisible enemiesThey're not invisible, they're just hard to see. You can see the translucent models in the webm. Healthbars don't appear until you hurt them
Do mini bosses count?
>>735132138Why is DS2 literal assrape for no reason?
It's a love hate relationship for me
ALL STARS ARE HERE>>735134098ds2 really wants you to not rely on lock-onweird design choice
>>735135409I can imagine them making a boss that's a combination of all the most cancerous creatures from all their games.
>>735135409You can fuck up Preceptor Miriam with rot tipped arrows, just wait until he charges his own bow. It kinda feels like cheating though.
>>735135139>erm, ackshually they're technically not invisible! It's the fucking intent, reddit-chanThey're supposed to be hard to see
>>735135409>all these freaky monsters and creatures>one human npc among themMakes me laugh for some reason.
>>735135785>They're supposed to be hard to seeYes that's what makes them cool, well doneZoomers wanting everything handed to them on a plate and can't appreciate the concept of a spooky wood shrouded in fog with hard to see enemies where you're constantly worried that something might sneak up behind you. If that isn't an appealing idea to you then you're a soulless automaton
>>735127572The dogs in RE4make just teleport in front of Leon, bite him, then disappear back into the bushes.
