The story's a generic "isekai chosen one" romp and Frey's annoying if you don't like the sassy black millennial archetype (her character was written by those people), almost every authority figure in the game is a woman but they're all retarded and the one man that tries anything at all to save their world goes insane. It isn't so bad. Traversal is fun and combat is fun. Auden best girl.

it was free on playstation game pass so i gave it a go and I'm glad i did, the characters and dialogue is not good but the gameplay is funand the gameplay has flaws and i wouldn't pay full price for it but im glad i played it and got 30+ hours of fun from it
I loved it more than I expected. DLC is fun too. Story is still mid, but its easy to ignore if you have fun with the combat.

>>735130726>so whats wrong with this game?I've 100%ed the game including every single treasure chest and DLC.>If you don't play on Very Hard the game is braindead easy, but endgame and DLC content is not balanced for it at all to the point that the DLC boss rush is completely impossible on that difficulty.>The game demands you have accessibility options turned on just for the combat to work.No Magic Self-Damage is required so that you don't get infinitely stunlocked by several of your spells or even your basic charged attacks."Go to next spell" is required so that it automatically cycles to something not on cooldown. The entire gameplay is balanced around you spamming literally every special spell not on cooldown from every single power type before you even try regular attacking even if the enemy resists it just so you can deal damage to some of the higher tier enemies in a reasonable manner.>Your damage is determined by a combo system that takes an eternity to upgrade even if you are doing what the combo system demands (Dodging without getting hit and spamming spells), and if you get hit by anything you literally lose a third of your damage output, and then 1.5x your damage output if you get hit again.>Enemies do not telegraph their attacks. You need to memorize when crocodiles, lions, tigers, bears, and elk are going to potentially attack and then dodge in and out to bait them just to do it which is not easy when endgame encounters have like 15 enemies in them at times.>Tanta Sila's melee combat is 100% unusable as it can't hit certain enemies and the charge attack locks you in place longer than it takes some enemies to get out of whiffing an attack like the elks.>Crows can infinitely stunlock you and they come in groups of 8 in a lot of areas.>The areas are literally just "What if I took a procgenned Unreal terrain and added enemies and chests to it?">The main story is horrendous and Frey just does a 180 on her character in the last 10 minutes.
