It doesn't matter, if you did die to the adds after killing Beastfly, it still stays dead and the door opens, so all it does is make you walk back to him one final time, it wasn't necessary to get credit for the fight.

HK was way better in every way possible. The nail in its upgraded form felt powerful and the charms only added to that, the spells and upgrades were awesome. The soul economy compared to the silk economy is tons better and silk felt like it was lacking in that everything is used for it which was pretty pathetic and poorly thought out. The movement speed between knight and hornet is undoubtedly the difference maker as defense for the knight seems existent while hornet feels like a punching bag at times. The crests never felt comfortable to use and each had deficiencies that cost the player in exploration or boss fights. Example the witch crest couldnt restore health if you were in one mask, wtf is that shit. Though i didnt get filtered by the bosses like your bitch ass did hornet doesnt make the fights any easier. The tools were lame as fuck and well lets just say the better game is HK. Silksong should have been better seeing hown long it took to develop

Team Cherry... I kneel...
>>
>>735136543
All of the patches have been very revealing. There are so many difficulty nerfs. You could make a reasonable assumption that Team Cherry wanted to make the game REALLY strict, tough, punishing, unfriendly, etc. They made everything super difficult, but behind the scenes they were thinking "how much is too much? Is this too unfair? Wil players tolerate this much frustration? How much can we get away with before everyone collectively cries foul?"

I get the feeling that they wanted to adhere to their vision of making a hard game, but they weren't exactly sure how to go about it. They're not perfect and they made a lot of mistakes, but their willingness to admit that they went too far and walk back some of the more severe stuff should garner a lot of goodwill from the playerbase imo.
>>
>>735140662
We don't.know yet. I would say the chances of being locked out are pretty low though.
>>
>>735141475
the only real big difficulty nerf was the reduction in early game damage
and that one was in part the result of a (valid) complaint that the first health upgrade functionally did nothing since every enemy did 2 masks worth of damage by the time you got it
>>
>>735141475
>There are so many difficulty nerfs
Really? I don't think there are that many, the main ones probably being the Moorwing and Splinter nerfs.
>>
>>735141807
The number of nerfs doesn't matter, the point is that their initial estimation of the difficulty tuning was too hard, and they decided to walk it back.
>>
>>735141807
>Moorwing
still hilarious that if you spend even a basic amount of time exploring the world you skip that fight
finding 5 fleas is really not hard and something a large portion of players will naturally do even on a first blind run

so the only people who ended up fighting Moorwing were also the least prepared since they were rushing through the game
>>
>>735141978
It was mostly just kind of silly that Moorwing in particular was more dangerous than Widow who you typically fight later. The nerf smoothed out the difficulty curve.
>>
>>735136801
And I care because?
>>
>>735139152
Nice
>>
>>735142265
Moorwing is the first "real" boss for a lot of players I think. Moss Mother obviously is a pushover, Bell Beast is slightly tough when you fight it but clearly isn't meant to be much of a challenge, and Fourth Chorus isn't very aggressive so most people first try it. Moorwing is the first boss that is both aggressive and requires you to have learned your entire kit by that point.
Of course it's an early boss so it's not that difficult but it's still a decent challenge at your skill range.
>>
>>735139152
I can definitely see Lace pissing Hornet off by calling her little niece or something.
>>
>>735142447
depends a bit, for people who are more likely to explore the world the first real boss likely was savage beastfly
>>
>>735136543
I dropped this after act 2 when i played it at launch because i didn‘t feel like doing the sidequests to access act 3. What have they changed so far?
>>
>>735141978
The only real nerf that everyone agreed was reasonable is the 2 damage environmental hazards one.

>>
>>735146132
your hall of gods??
>but the bindings
just try to stick to killing the ads with spells or nail arts
>>
>>735146884
probably because collector is by far one of the bosses most affected by all-bindings, because you have limited soul and cant kill the minions with the normal nail attacks anywhere as reliably. same for gpz
cant activate bindings in HoG
>>
>>735146884
>>735146943
Unfortunately for me the regular version is too easy because of the nail damage one shotting them. You need all 4 bindings active to call the practice productive because it truly plays much differently than ab collector from P3. I would love to practice it in P5 but it takes a long ass time to get there in AB
>>
>>735147110
Sounds like you should just git gud
>>
>>735138523
Excellent change, wish I played the game with this addition, really finally makes the jump worth while
>>
>>735147110
The thing is, the best way to kill these ads is spells and nail arts. So try playing around killing them almost exclusively with those, so it ends up being real practice
>>
>>735150784
>he best way to kill these ads is spells and nail arts
in all bindings*
Cyclone slash is technically incredible for killing ads as they spawn at the same time as you hit the collector, but theres a random unlucky case where the primal aspid shoots instantly upon spawning, so you take damage
>>
>>735137419
It got me the first time because I wasn't expecting a Kaizo attack, plenty of bosses seemingly explode on death to no effect both in this game and Hollow Knight. It didn't get me twice.

>>
>>735156762
Explain how an ultra late game mobility tool is tantamount to not beating the game? Like you can't even beat act 3 without using it or getting it so it sounds to me like YOU didn't even play the game
>>
>>735159862
It does allow you to wait until the very end of the game to do the Taste of Pharloom quest. Bring the meat to the Citadel using Silk Soar in one throw means less room for error. Where before you would have to go through the upper level of Shellwood and climb through the majority of Blasted Steps, you can now skip most of Blasted Steps and just have the last bit of the trek, which is the easiest part.
>>
>>735161462
Heh, if you wait for Act 3 to get the Tastes of Pharloom done, you also need to do it with voidbugs around so even skipping a couple area even things out. But you know
>Just kill the mobs before picking up the package
>>
>>735162684
This isn't as much of a help as people seem to think it is, since you don't need to sit on a bench for things to respawn. Certain spawns of choir bugs in the citadel will come back on scene transitions. So going to get the Rasher will have them come back and I have seen people slam right into them.

>>
>>735136543
I beat this game relatively easily when it came out and it was honestly really disappointing. I barely remember any bosses apart from the important ones like Lace or GMS. Areas were unmemorable too. Nothing like the first game where most areas and bosses were memorable. Very disappointing game, I don't get why people think its this masterpiece. Its just ok. Hopefully the DLC is better.
>>
>>735171460
Silksong took time for me but after it clicked I began to enjoy it more than Hollow Knight
>>
>>735171519
I gave it quite a bit of time. The minute-to-minute gameplay is a lot more fun than the first game but that doesn't mean much when the overall bosses and areas are weaker. Yes the best bosses of HK were in the DLC but this game is twice the size of HK and has been delayed 1000 times, and I'm pretty sure Act 3 is a repurposing of the Abyss DLC that never launched for the first game
>>
>>735171285
Sharpdart is underrated as fuck, I used it a lot in Steel Soul mode. People use threadstorm because it's great to take care of flying threats but Sharpdart works just as well most of the time, and with the added benefits of not making you a sitting duck for anything too big to be pushed away. In a pinch it's as good as the parry silk skill to dodge damage. Thread Storm is probably better when you're against multiple targets high and lows and on all sides but it doesn't happens that often, and if it does Sharpdart will clear either the high or low group just as well. Also no risk of tickling enemies because like when you fuck up TS and the mobs take one tick of damage then stay out of range.

Almost happened to me the first time. I ended the fight backed into a corner and I figured she was about to explode, but I didn't know if I'd have time to get past her. So I just hugged the wall and was fortunately like 5 pixels outside her blast radius. I think I had full health, though, so I probably would have been fine anyway.
>>
>>735171781

Alright bros, this run's the run. I've already at widow, 1 hour 20 minutes in, I'm a little behind but well on pace to finish this Steel Soul in 5 hours for both achievments.
>>
>>735138523
Should have been in the game on release.
>>
>>735173372
5 hours is plenty of time, although I didn't try to do it steel soul so I didn't feel the need to go around collecting upgrades. I went for the steel soul on my 30 hour 100% run.
