I need some help for this game. I'm in Lothering and getting my ass whooped by bandits and spiders.I plan to play with Morrigan, Leliana and Sten so if I could get some advice on how my tactics should be setup and how I should tackle encounters that would be appreciated.

Like most oldschool RPGs, you will feel the difficulty earlier on before your characters get enough levels and points/skills.Sword&Board is pretty horrible in tanking but eventually becomes immortal, for example.Same for mages.Rogues are always alright, I think. Unless you do micromanage flanking. Or make use of the attack speed bug to make them M-42 shooters. But you need them for the utility anyway so it's a moot point.

>>735137605I don't remember how stats work in DA:O, but you need a little bit of DEX, then a lot of STR so you can equip heavy things, up around 50 or so. Then you can go back to DEX for maximum evasion/blocking?CON supposedly raises your HP but the gains are marginal compared to pumping STR and DEX. And anything melting your HP after mid game would melt you regardless of your CON score.That said, early on, without some passives and gear, your "tank" is just a piece of meat and you'd rather use these Poultices while trying to keep aggro. It gets better.But early on it just feels you're playing wrong.But the system isn't as punishing for screwing up scores like BG2 which used an adaptation of AD&D, for example.
