Play Where Winds Meet. Ignore gachashit. Amazing game.
>A Regressor's Tale of CultivationHoly shit this story is nuts. I wasn't expecting to find something this fresh and engaging after having read through so many xianxia. The title is very fitting, and I wonder how the story will continue to evolve.

Chink webnovelists can only ever write about cheating. They come in a bunch of diff templates;>regression: know the meta, know were to get all good shit, know future dangers. Reverend Insanity subverts this.>Sign-In: walk to various nearby locations or objects in order to get all kinds of goodies served on a silver platter for no reason>Object based Goldfinger, conveniently hidden within the MC's dantian or some such. to destroy any stakes/tension; MC has ways to hide his goldfinger from powerful seniors, cause fuck problem solving.Spiritual Goldfingers, such as the classic ghost grandpa can likewise hide itself from inspection.Forgot about the other variants, Koreans have their own selection of cheats, such as MC having a trash Skill, except its actually a SSS-rank skill in secret, ect.By the way i dont mind goldfingers if its really well written. The problem is that its so saturated that its long become the standard for their writing.Thread-Tax: a Xianxia / Wuxia action-rpg game with a major overarching Timeloop mechanic, which you the player is stuck in would be interesting.

Not a single good game
I'm worried that the Lord of the Mysteries MMO will have the grind shit they put in asian mmos and gachashit.I just want more story and to take in the setting.
>>735155608It's kinda complicated. Both genre has things that the CCP dislike. One major issue is that the CCP really don't like alternative history genre and both Wuxia and Xianxia sometimes use alternative history as their setting. Wuxia also has a love-hate relationship with the CCP, on one hand, a lot of Wuxia is very nationalistic and promote Hans unity, on the other hand, a lot of Wuxia are also very anti-authority with the whole "heroes defeat corrupt government" theme.
>>735155608Xianxia promotes individualism and self interest, whereas wuxia generally tends to promote values more in line with what the CCP approves of like taking care of your community, following the law, opposing criminals, etc
i love the insanely low budget chinese TV shit that lands in my youtube shorts feed, but chinese games and comics suffer from the same rot as south korean media. its insane that japan is the only one of the big 3 to put out consistently decent stuff (though thats slowly changing with seasonal anime and isekai slop)

>>735143897basically everything about chinese society seems comically dystopian given how often the societal "tropes" pop up. a bunch of amoral sociopaths who give zero fucks about anyone but themselves and maybe their family and most of said families are absolute clusterfucksit's actually made me appreciate moralfag protagonists and settings a bit more, because it does get a bit tiresome having the author need to write a 3 paragraph explanation for why he only agreed to his "friends" request for help because it benefited the protag personally otherwise he totally would've left his friend gigafucked
