Anyone that thinks a Pokémon MMO is remotely a good idea doesn't play the games and just wishes to larp as Ash. That's basically it. But it's impossible to make a game with the scale and scope of a real world. You can't even make a game about Dragon Ball or Naruto that's not just a greatest hits collection or a lazy arena fighter and people expect for a Pokémon game to be just like the anime. You could give the IP to any company on the planet and the game wouldn't turn out like you're imagining.
