>>735142747He doesn't even do this to shit on shills, the video in question shits all over UE5 and garbage devs, so it quite literally supports his very standpoint. He only struck it because the guy used a 10 second clip of his video to support a thesis. Dude is a grifter and doesn't actually care about the message or games and is flailing around like an autistic child.
>>735142196*dmca strikes you*
>tfw 2009 games look better than modern ue5slopHe really was right...
>>735142196START DOING THIS!
>>735143140What am I looking at here?
>>735144738He submitted a pull request to unreal engine (effectively, asking Epic to implement his code change for future versions of Unreal Engine), claiming it'll drastically improve TAA, which amounts to just changing a few static number values. I'm not enough in the weeds of graphics programming, nor do I know enough Unreal Engine code to understand what those number changes would exactly entail, but the guy claims the numbers are sourced from another engine (Decima, used by Horizon and Death Stranding games). Even if those minute changes actually improve things (I haven't seen any comparisons), there might be questions about copying competitor's engine just like that. Also, lines starting with // are just comments (ignored by a compiler), so the second code change was just fixing a typo in a comment.
>>735142282Bro is a chad. he would have dropped you and fucked your bitch.
so this cuck is still going at it striking everyone?
>>735145239Nah, he looks like a skinny manlet
>>735143140>>735144738>>735145170He's changing the sub-sample offsets points in the shader. You can look up how super sampling works.the user seething at him and going on about chat GPT is a retard. There's nothing to indicate chat gpt because all he did was tweak float number values.dipshit thinks he can look at 2 lines of HTML numbers and be like "yep these were clearly generated by chat GPT"
>>735145704>the sub-sample offsets points in the shader. You can look up how super sampling works.Yeah, sort of figured it'd be like that. It's kind of a nonsense pull request either way, but not for the reasons the maintainer said.
>>735145851Not necessarily. Different sample point patterns can radically effect the quality of scaling and AA/color blending.
>>735143042Name of the game ?
>>735146218Sure, of course, but I guess the point about (explicitly) copying a competitor's engine stands. Maybe with better wording maintainers would've humored the PR. At the very least, I'd be mildly interested in seeing comparison images. Also I guess there might be some greater context missing, in that the guy might have been submitting other PRs, but this sample offsets PR is the one anons keep reposting. What did the other PRs do?
Callisto faces indeed look much better than this nVidia DLSS AI slop.
>What did the other PRs do?What other PRs lmaoHe only made one (1) and its slop
>>735147210Huh, so why did the maintainer say PRs as in a plural?
>>735147343eh probably just being a mad retard.UE community have been super butthurt at him for a while. So he was probably trying to imply he uses chat GPT in any coding he does on any project as a personal dig.
It's too bad UE uses slop rendering, because it is capable of looking amazing. TI's arguments basically boil down to UE5 anti-aliasing and post processing being trash at a design level, and those arguing against him arguing that if you use plugins and etc you can negate the trash. I'm more on TI's side, because a powerful engine that is industry standard shouldnt have these unoptimised and weird methods that cause all kinds of weird effects and I shouldnt have to write or download plugins to fix it.
>>735147672Well, from what I've understood it's due to the way the guy tries to carry himself. As of late, he seems to be very trigger happy with filing DMCAs, which is bound to draw some ire if you're interested in discussing the topics he's trying to cover. Like, is UE flawless? Of course not. Could he talk about issues with UE more productively, without shitstirring? Yeah. Is this just some internet drama that ultimately doesn't matter? Yup.Personally, I'm most interested in how exactly he plans on fixing UE if he does get the 900k he's asking for. If he's got a solid idea, just describing it to a competent graphics programmer might get one to do it for free.
No one's going to forget that you got called out for falseflagging as a schizo making bots falseflag as you to advertise yourself. Actual midwit logic.
