Chuundar, from the 1993 hit video game, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, was a brilliant subversion of the classical concept of the 'chud': a humanoid (and possibly human-eating) beast who nevertheless lives high above ground in the trees rather than lurking underground beneath the surface. And yet, at the same time, he in many ways typifies the modern concept of the chud: a far-right, fascist dictator who enslaves his people and political rivals. One has to appreciate how forward-thinking Bioware used to be; KOTOR was truly ahead of its time.
