tried the first one but i'm not really into those collect random things all over the level type of platformers. prefer more straightforward platforming levels where you can collect stuff on the way if feel like it

A little bit when I was young, kid across the street growing up at a PS2 and owned all of them. I just downloaded Sly 1-3 last night and these were next on the list, piggybacking off this thread for more kino PS2 platformers.

I only like the first game and hated the other two. Why does he have guns? Why does he drive cars and have bike segments? Its like they saw how successful R&C was and was like “damn lets change the our game completely and go from a collecting platformer to a shooty mc grabd theft auto! XD”.Also they turned jak into a completely different character. Him talking is fine, but they should have worked his personality off of how he acted in the first game instead of ooga booga the dark ego crawling in my skin need to kill :D. Thats what i love about the R&C series is that they never changed the formula of their mainline games and everything people liked of the first game carried over to going commando.

I played Jak and Daxter, the sequels looked stupid to me but I always hear that it's not that dumb and the two sequels are alot of fun, but I don't think I'll ever play them. I can see myself trying Daxter, but I don't know when as I have no plans to play PSP games anytime soon.
i spent hours fighting guards as giant dark jak in 2 and fighting the metal heads in Haven city in 3 larping that I was helping fight the war for the city with the guards
